I used to click all the advertisements on www.alien-ufos.com and www.alienhub.com
That's all I could do to support the forum.

Q could have asked for more money if that was an issue, or at least informed or asked if anyone would buy or help support. Or sold for a lower price rather than shut down. $1000 is better than nothing.

Netiquette would suggest some form of communication and a backup also.

Seems more like an emotional reaction than business.., especially regarding the message left and the website appears active? Just the message. I assume the domain would close.

OK, so i have watched this thread now for 10 pages, I was at AU since 2006, maybe before, cant remember.
But I have to ask the question. Who gives a shit now. nivek has provided us with a place that is way better then AU.
Why, well thats easy. nivek is a decent guy with his heart in the right place. To be corny, but its the truth, you can feel the love here. AU lost that the minute Q arrived.
Q...was an rude clicky ass wipe who if you were not in one of the in groups or one of his mates (which in the end he abandoned anyway) you were dirt to him. I left shortly after Q and that other nuff nuff ran the place. They had no respect at all.
Here we have a fantastic new place to make as we see fit as a new community. Why are we per suing this thread.
Who gives a shit. If I can dump over a decade, so can you.
Lets build our new planet, its great here.

Hey Dundee, long time no see. I got into Arduino's and Pi's now.
When you're right, you're right.

I just got back into the whole scene finally, and was curious as to what happened.
I guess it was more of a "need-to-know" type thing.., when really it doesn't matter after joining this site.

I did lose a thread I was working on about the Australian military reports on UFOs.
I was thinking.., my hard drive dies and I lose all my research.
Why not just post on a forum, ignoring others (input is desired). But just like a diary of sorts.
Post my thoughts and show my work.

But yea. Its a nice feeling to move on from the past.
Looking forward to new discussions and ways of thinking.
I do wonder if Q is okay though, and I miss the whole gang.
Its just a weird way to end it all....

You should start a thread straight away and get all that research safe.
As for Arduino's....Love em, haven't got much into the Pi's though yet.
Done lots of Arduino stuff. Maybe you can run an Arduino thread as well.
I have done a fair bit with them, between us and others we can have some fun.

Thank you Michael59. I haven't seen you for such a long time.., even then you rarely spoke. But when you did, it had substance and made us all think or calm down. Having said that, I won't be attacking any "Castles" etc.., I see that is futile now.

I'm so glad you are still around and part of this whole phenomenon people have been trying to solve for a ages.
I have seen a few new UFOs with other people now, and still don't know what it is.
Maybe there's something in the water?... Either way I think it deserves a proper study.

The owner of AlienHub seemed be a software developer that was using some filtering/access control software he developed on the site. The site may have been a hobby/test tool.
