The disappearance of Alien Hub without explanation

I think ultimately If I had to make a call on the issue. The deal was he cared too much about it to really let it sell to anyone.

That's sad, I guess he'd rather remove the site than let it fall into someone else's hands. But oh well. What is done is done. Sometimes the best thing is for a fresh start.

Here is a modified link to the selling site of alien hub when it went up for auction.

Here's Q's reason for wanting to sell.
Reason for selling:

We have operated AlienHub for years as a "professional hobby". We want to sell now so that we can refocus on other business interests.

Some of the numbers don't add up and the third comment had good questions I would have asked...Still I would have bought it all, still willing to but it's not up to me...

Trust me, He never wanted to sell it. I feel like there was pressure from another source to sell, But I know. He didn't want it to sell, You know how easy it was for me to talk him out of every offer and give me a chance to revive it? I just had to mention that I'd try, He really never wanted to part with it, He used every excuse he could to turn down every offer, He got seven offers on flippa. People may think I hate Q, I do not. He gave me a chance and trusted me. He really is a good person. Better than most people when you know him. He's human. I and he had a fight because I threw a fit that he was shutting down. At the time I took that As an insult to the work I had done there. The fight was really bad. It wasn't a fight between friends. It got ugly. ...

Q was a good person and he's still the person he was. He cared about the community. He did not want to sell it. That's why he set the price ridiculously low and turned down every offer. He was trying to appease some third party that he was trying.

Consider logically for a moment. If he did not care about the community. Why instead of lowering the price even more ridiculously low why didn't he just give it someone? Instead of keeping it? Which he ultimately did. He has had offers from several people even people here. He did not want to part with it. The proof is in the offers. And he turned them all down. Alienhub is his, he is proud of it. He cares about it. And It will be back someday.

That still leaves an entire community that was suddenly dumped without notice though. Maybe he could have warned people so they could connect with one another or even cope. This loss hurt people.... That's also a fact.
