Meanwhile I am expecting the retirement age in Britain to be raised to 90 before I am able to retire.

Wow 90, really?...That's a bit too old for retirement age to begin...Our government wants to raise the retirement age to 70, because of mismanagement of the social security funds...Currently my retirement age to get full benefits is 67, the same as @pigfarmer ...

'There's no exception for royalty': Lawyer warns Prince Harry's drug use could threaten his US visa after he admitted taking cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms in his memoir and TV interviews

Prince Harry's admission of drug taking could threaten his US visa, an American lawyer has warned as he insisted there was 'no exception for royalty'. The Duke of Sussex revealed in his bombshell memoir 'Spare' and TV interviews that he had taken cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms in the past. But he is now facing calls for his US visa application to be released to see whether he admitted his drug use before emigrating to California with Meghan Markle in 2020. A conservative think tank is in the middle of a battle with Washington DC officials who are staunchly refusing to publish any details - including any texts or emails. The DC-based Heritage Foundation says his visa application must now be released so the American taxpayer can understand whether Harry declared his drug use. US immigration law has harsh penalties for lying to immigration officials, including deportation and being barred from applying for citizenship.

Rejection of Globalism: Hungary and Italy Pass Laws to Protect Citizens from Insect Use in Food

Globalists are trying to brainwash citizens with their environmental and nutritional propaganda to control citizens’ food choices.

Hungary has enacted stricter rules against the clandestine insectification of foods. The Minister of Agriculture István Nagy announced on his social media site that they are now requiring foods containing insect proteins to carry the label “Warning! Food containing insect proteins” and must be displayed separately from other products,

The minister stressed that the government wants to protect Hungarian consumers from foods containing insect protein authorized by Brussels in the European Union (EU) through strict product labeling and segregation rules.

Hungary was the only member state not to support the EU’s intention to allow insects to be marketed as food and food ingredients in the EU.
He added that the European Commission is risking our gastronomic traditions and eating habits. That is why the Ministry of Agriculture has amended the food-labeling regulation to provide accurate information to consumers.

Products containing insect proteins will be clearly distinguishable and segregated on store shelves. Non-compliant packaging and labels may continue to be used for three months, and products with such packaging or labels may remain on the market for a maximum of three months. István Nagy also pointed out that no fines for non-compliance with the amended Regulation for 90 days will be imposed.

He pointed out that representative surveys by the National Food Chain Safety Office clearly show that since 2016, the proportion of people in Hungary who will not eat insects has increased by 2.4 percent.

Those who prefer buying food of Hungarian origin do not want to eat insects. In addition, he underlined that Hungarian farmers always provide the Hungarian population with high-quality foodstuff, fresh and good quality food, so there is no need to fear either food shortages or protein shortages.

He also said that the regulation does not affect insect-derived additives, which have been widely used by the food industry but apply to insects as ingredients.

Italy bans insect flour from its pasta

Italy has banned insect flour from its pasta, reports The Times. “The growing use in cooking of flour made from crickets, locusts, and insect larvae has met fierce opposition in Italy, where the government is to ban its use in pizza and pasta and segregate it on supermarket shelves.’

In a sign of fear that insects might be associated with Italian cuisine, three government ministers called a press conference in Rome to announce four decrees aimed at a crackdown. “Fundamentally, these flours are not confused with food made in Italy,” said agriculture minister Francesco Lollobrigida

As previously reported at RAIR Foundation USA, unelected self-anointed globalists have fought for years for westerners to eat bugs. They hope to brainwash citizens with environmental and nutritional narratives in order to control their food choices. “Packed with vitamins, proteins, and minerals, flour made from crickets is increasingly seen as an ecological way to obtain nutrients, and the market is forecast to reach $3.5 billion by 2029.” The EU has already authorized foods made from crickets, locusts, and the darkling beetle larva. In January, mealworm larvae were added to the list.”

However, all four insects are cited in the Italian decrees, requiring any products containing them to be labeled with large lettering and displayed separately from other foods.

“Whoever wants to eat these products can, but those who don’t, and I imagine that will be most Italians, will be able to choose,” Lollobrigida said.

Orazio Schillaci, the health minister, said the legislation would also ban the use of insect flours in “typical” Italian products like pizza and pasta.

In a further attempt to promote Italian food, the government announced on Thursday that it would propose the inclusion of Italy’s cuisine on Unesco’s world heritage list.

I see this as a fail...Are not some EU countries having a difficult time keeping the lights on with an energy crisis?...Do the EU countries have electric car infrastructure in place yet?...

EU Approves 2035 Ban on Sales of Gas-Powered Cars

EU countries have approved an end to the sale of gas-powered cars in 2035, allowing the law to enter into force.

With its vote on Tuesday, the European Council “has taken an important step towards zero-emission mobility,” EU environment commissioner Frans Timmermans said on Twitter. “The direction is clear: in 2035 new cars and vans must have zero emissions.”

The vote comes after weeks of negotiations in which Germany lobbied for a carveout for e-fuels, which are made by combining hydrogen with carbon dioxide that has been scrubbed from the atmosphere in a process run on renewable power. Because e-fuels make use of captured carbon, they are considered carbon neutral. The EU agreed to grant the exemption, which will allow the sale of combustion vehicles that run only on e-fuels after 2035.

Around a quarter of EU emissions come from transport. The new law will require a 55 percent drop in carbon emissions across new car fleets by 2030. By 2035, all new cars must produce zero carbon dioxide.

Poland voted against the new law, saying it would drive up car prices, while Bulgaria, Romania, and Italy abstained. Italy had pushed for an exemption for biofuels, which was not granted, Reuters reports.

The exemption for e-fuels drew criticism from some on the environmental left. “The automotive sector has wholeheartedly embraced electric cars, rendering the previous debate on the matter absurd and damaging Germany’s credibility,” said Michael Bloss of Germany’s Green Party. “It is now time to make reparations.”

Locals go to war over accommodation centres for 5,000 new boat migrants: Government has a 'fight on its hands' as councils and families across Britain push back on plans to fill old RAF bases and prisons with incoming asylum seekers

One Tory council has already lodged a legal challenge aiming to stop the Home Office plan dead in its tracks. Immigration minister Robert Jenrick announced that 1,200 Channel migrants will be placed in a new centre at Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. He also confirmed the Home Office was pressing ahead with other sites at former military bases at Wethersfield, Essex, and Scampton, Lincolnshire, the former home of the Dambusters squadron and the Red Arrows. Each will accommodate 200 people initially, with capacity 'gradually increasing' to 1,700 at Wethersfield and 2,000 at Scampton. Only men will be housed at the sites. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was 'showing leadership' by bringing forward further proposals to use barracks at Catterick Garrison in his constituency, the minister added.

Joe Biden apologists can come up with all the excuses they want, but snubbing King Charles' coronation shows he hates Britain, just like his pals Harry and Meghan. Trump would have made history by attending

It was the fateful moment in 2020 when Joe Biden made abundantly clear to the world that the Anglophilia of his predecessor was about to be brutally kicked to the curb.

Already plotting to have the bust of Britain’s greatest ever leader Winston Churchill banished from the Oval Office, a viral video emerged of the then president elect being asked for comment during the campaign by the Donald Trump-hating BBC.

‘Mr. Biden, a quick word for the BBC,’ the British Bashing Corporation’s New York correspondent Nick Bryant hollered.

‘The BBC? I’m Irish,’ Biden replied with a threatening glare, before breaking out into a demented grin.

That obvious disdain, which I am prepared to call out as both monarchy and Britain-hating, has continued throughout his presidency.

Be it consistently backing Ireland and the EU during highly sensitive Brexit negotiations, slamming ex-PM Liz Truss publicly for trying to cut taxes, or siding with the ghastly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over their fake Royal Family racism claims to Oprah Winfrey.

Never has it been made clearer that the special relationship is spluttering on in spite of the occupant of the White House not because of him.

The historic coronation of King Charles III this May – one of the most important days in modern British history – should have been a moment to change all that.

Travel and protocol have transformed in the 70 years since the last coronation, when Dwight D. Eisenhower was in power.

If Biden were prepared to show respect for the UK, there could be no better way than turning up at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6, alongside dozens of other heads of state the world over, including all three presidents of our political enemies over at the EU.

Sure, Biden is already travelling to Northern Ireland to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement later this month and describing the 80-year-old gaffe-prone leader as doddery is being kind to him.

But, given the magnitude of the historic event, another trip a few weeks later is warranted.

US officials want to avoid the decision being seen as a snub and will possibly send the First Lady Jill Biden, but the damage has been done.

Especially with a US government source pointedly telling the Daily Telegraph: ‘He’s very proud of his Irish roots.’

Before anyone tries to dismiss the decision down to his age alone, think again.

In Biden’s 2008 autobiography Promises to Keep, he admitted his mother’s Irish American relatives held onto ‘Irish grudges’, with his Aunt Gertie once telling him: ‘You’re father’s not a bad man. He’s just English.’

In 1982, before meeting the late Queen for the first time, his mother Jean Biden gave him only one piece of advice: ‘Don’t you bow down to her.’

Biden’s anti-English stance is indicative of the way the left internationally have started slowly turning on the UK and our Royal Family as some sort of walking talking manifestation of colonialism, which they deride for political purposes on a daily basis, forgetting the many wonders the British Empire brought to the world.

Whatever one thinks of him, I have not a shadow of doubt that Donald Trump would have moved mountains to attend the King’s coronation.

Perhaps in part because of his mother’s Scottish heritage, he had a deep respect for both the late Queen personally, as well as the importance of the British monarchy and the danger posed by a destructive Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The idea of invoking centuries old hatred over Irish history or the American civil war when it came to his relations with our monarchy would have been an anathema to him.

Biden could have made history by being the first American president to attend a Coronation, while helping put to bed the constant drumbeat of hatred towards our Royal Family from the American left.

Instead, he has inflamed this current culture war.

I experienced the most over the top abuse from American Be Kind Democrats all weekend long by tweeting: 'Biden planning to snub the coronation of King Charles III tells you everything you need to know about how one of the worst presidents in modern history feels about the United Kingdom. Shame on him. PS: Biden, closely aligned with Harry and Meghan. We know what this is really about.'

Twitter felt it necessary to add a note of context onto my very valid tweets, stating: ‘No US president in history has attended the Coronation of the British monarch.’

Well, I would add some important context to that note of context: There have only been two coronations in the last 100 years, with the most recent in 1953, with globalisation having transformed the way world leaders travel since then.

And I have no doubt that the malign influence of Harry and Meghan on the way many left-wing Americans think about the UK and Royal Family has played a part in Biden’s decision.

Harry had formed a close friendship with Biden and his wife Jill through his Invictus Games, with the president once stating: ‘Jill went to London for the last games. She spent too much damn time with Prince Harry!’

That closeness resulted in the president’s spokeswoman Jen Psaki praising the Sussexes for ‘courage’ after their notorious interview to Oprah Winfrey, where they made a number of unsubstantiated attacks about the Royal Family being racist that they have since had to walk back.

Courage for what? Destroying the legacy of your dying grandfather? Please!

In turn, Meghan and Harry have supported the Bidens politically, with the couple attending the Vax Live event during the Covid pandemic and Meghan breaking all royal protocol to publicly back one of his Supreme Court nominees.

Biden’s sister Valerie Biden Owens has since told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that Meghan would make a good candidate for president, openly encouraging her to join the Democrats.

So there is little doubt that in the bitter War of the Windsor’s, Biden sides with the aggrieved Harry trying to tear down the British monarchy, rather than the current king and the heir to the throne, Prince William, who both want to modernise the institution while continuing many of its most important traditions.

Biden might think his snub is clever, delighting his leftie base and impressing his Californian pals the Sussexes, but he’s missed the chance to make royal history – and the British public won’t forget his barely concealed hatred towards our great country.

And the insanity continues: UK Farmers will be ordered to feed cows ‘methane suppressants’ to stop them belching and breaking wind under government plans to reach net zero

Dairy cows are set to be given ‘methane suppressants’ by farmers to reduce their carbon footprint – by making them burp less. Ministers are looking to force farmers to give herds additives to reduce gas from digestion in ‘compound feeds’, which contain seaweed and essential oils.

The Government’s Net Zero Growth Plan, released this week, looked to address concerns from the High Court that existing plans to reach the climate goal before 2050 were not detailed enough.

The plan said the bovine supplements could be introduced ‘at pace’ from 2025 – or as ‘soon as practically possible’ – in efforts to reduce emissions by 20 per cent by 2030, as Britain’s commitment to the Global Methane Pledge requires. Cows are a big contributor to climate change, with farm animals producing around 14 per cent of carbon emissions from human activity worldwide.

The plans are expected to add around 33p a year to the cost of milk for the average consumer but ministers could also choose to subsidise the superfood feed.

Dustin Benton, former government adviser on food strategy, told The Telegraph the suppressants could eventually be given to sheep as well as cows. ‘Most dairy cows are milked twice a day, and when they’re going to be milked they usually eat, so that’s a pretty good way of getting it into them.’ Mr Benton added that the suppressants were a good start but that further action would be needed to reduce the impact of livestock.

A government source said that ‘significant’ progress had been made thanks to innovation in agricultural products and that there were ‘major benefits’ to the plans for farmers and the climate.

The suppressants contain a number of additives, including seaweed, organic acids, probiotics and antimicrobials and essential oils, that reduce the amount of gas produced during digestion. It’s an urban myth that cows produce most of the methane by farting and it’s actually belching that is the real culprit. Livestock made up the majority of agriculture and other land-use emissions in 2021, which accounted for 11 per cent of the UK’s greenhouse gases.

Italy Declares State of Emergency as Migrant Numbers Surge

Italy’s government on Tuesday declared a six-month national state of emergency to help it cope with a surge in migrants arriving on the country’s southern shores, Italian state TV said.
Since the start of this year, some 31,000 migrants, either rescued by Italian military boats or charity ships or reaching Italy without assistance, have disembarked, according to Interior Ministry figures. That's nearly four times the roughly 8,000 for the same period in each of the two previous years.

The arrivals of migrants, who set out in unseaworthy vessels launched by smugglers from northern African shores, seem destined to swell. Early on Wednesday, a smugglers' boat, crowded with some 700 passengers, was expected to pull into the port of Catania, a major city in eastern Sicily.

Deepak Chopra's books are garbage, he uses a lot of words to convey very little, I'm kind of surprised he got himself involved with them, but he could have drank the woke kool-aid, of that I wouldn't be surprised...

He also said there was too much drama surrounding the Sussexes, clearly he cannot see that they brought all the drama down upon themselves...I think the South Park episode served them right...
