This one an oldie but goodie, shrouded in Ufology lore, Have you heard about the Alleged war that broke out in 1979 at Dulce Base? Well sit right back and you'll hear a tale, A tale of a fateful ship that landed at the docking port outside the radars blip.

According to Legend, In 1979, A meeting was arranged between Extraterrestrials and the U.S government. This Meeting Quickly went awry and shots were fired at the visiting extraterrestrials, and things got progressively worse until everyone at the landing site was killed, Then the visitors left.

This incident is known as the Dulce Report, Or more often, The Dulce War. Dulce Report

So, What happened, What went wrong? Why did this meeting end in conflict? This meeting according to legend, Was a highly politicized event with a lot of red tape and stipulations, One such stipulation was that no recording devices were to be used as the visitors were not there in the regard or contact or publicity, No, They were there with a purpose.

Apparently, The U.S Government had been shooting down their craft and imprisoning their survivors, For quite some time, So, This was not a friendly visit.

Apparently, There were tensions between both the attending Military guards and the visitors, When the visitors noticed they were indeed being recorded, someone had smuggled a video camera to the landing site and were recording them. With the preexisting tensions and the rules of conduct already violated, The Visitors attacked. No one really knows how it happened, But universally everyone seems to agree, That It was an attack, Every military guard present that day, Turned their loaded weapons upon themselves and fired, Leaving nothing but a pile of dead corpses in their wake. No one really knows what happened after this, Did they just leave? did they free their imprisoned brothers? Such information has never come to light.

One thing is for sure, If you can suspend disbelief just long enough to enjoy this story, Then you will find this is one of the most fantastic claims ever made in the field of study. Personally, Whether it's truth or fiction, It's just an awesome story if you ask me, But what are your thoughts on The Dulce Report?

I rarely bring up Schneider because even at his best, He was playing off acronyms like D.U.M.B.S. And honestly, Anyone who ever saw the guy could tell, That was his inside joke, He was literally passing off a dumb story and laughing about it the whole time. All respect to the way his life ended and all, But, no his story was thinly veiled, In my eyes, Philip Schneider was a man who very desperately wanted to pull off some sort of scam or story, Upon a community he did not respect, And the fatal flaw in his character was, He was lacking in intellect and never able to quite pull it off.

I didn't even know there was a book, Now, I see, This was all a sci-fi story that some guy made up to sell books, and he targeted the ufology community. It's a shame, But people like that do exist.

The image in the OP is a coal mine near Farmington NM......80 miles west of Dulce.

The alleged Dulce base is under the Archuleta Mesa immediately north of Dulce.

More directly, Weather Schneider was off his cracker or not, I tend to think he never had a cracker,
What are your thoughts on the Government shooting down the possible craft, And fantastically enough. What are your thoughts on a possible response or retaliation from these beings? I think that's the part of the story that intrigues me most. I suppose most of this story is probably believer fan fiction, However, There is a side to that, Where I question, if we really are shooting craft down from the sky, and capturing beings somehow, wouldn't they retaliate in some way? what are your thoughts on this dive off the deep end of Ufology?

Those questions don't really have much to do with Dulce.....but maybe another thread.

I've not yet seen any real evidence to indicate humanity has shot down any ETV's. Hypothetically......if we actually did fire on an ETV it would depend on their stage of development as to if they would respond.

Whether schnieder was off his chump or not whatever the case is his credibility is non-existent.

I think people are confused about the dulce report, It's my understanding, That a physical conflict actually broke out at Dulce base because they allegedly have extraterrestrials there that they have shot down over decades. Those are the alleged stories about the Dulce base. People often think it's all Philip Schneider stuff, It's my understanding he had very little in connection with the dulce base or it's alleged recovered entities or possible craft. I don't know, I could be getting two stories mixed up, But in the version I know, Phillip had nothing to do with the whole event, He was just some construction worker off doing his thing under contract. I may be getting another case mixed up with this one :/ I think I am.

In reading about the alleged dulce base I was always under the impression the ETs were there of their own free will.

I also recall Rick Doty of AFOSI was involved in the Dulce story at one time. If Doty, a known liar and fraud artist, was involved you can bet there are all kinds of BS stories being planted about aliens, UFOs and Dulce.

The vast majority of what I've heard and seen over the years about dulce is BS......but it is a very nice looking town.

To my knowledge, no one has ever provided solid evidence of a secret base in Dulce.
As for the battle with the aliens, it's highly fantastical. It's red meat for true believers, but there's no evidence for it.

In fairness to the fantasticalness of the claims, I tend to agree with your the red meat statement, It's these kinds of things that sound so awesome, We want them to be true, But it's because they are so spot on fantastical, They most likely aren't.

The only logic I have to support entertaining this on any level is If we really are shooting them out of the sky and imprisoning them, Surely there would be some sort of retaliation from the entities.

I read about Dulce base a few years back originally, and I became obsessed with it. Mostly because, like @wwkirk said, it's red meat. However, I watched an interview Schneider had and I could tell he wasn't sincere. His story sounded... a little too well put together, but the concept, it was awesome to me. Then, I remember reading that he had told his ex-wife if something ever happened to him, she knew why... and he was found not too long after, apparently strangled with piano wire (not too sure on this, read this somewhere but was informed by someone else he was hung/hung himself...?) so that kind of made me re-believe everything he laid a foundation down for.

Eventually I found a really long document, an interview with Thomas Castello apparently not too long before he went missing... He described the base and its inner working, what he saw with his security privileges, and claims he met an extraterrestrial in the base that wanted to switch sides, I can't really remember the specifics as it's been a very long time since I've looked at it... I will check my files to see if I can find it because I do think I saved it somewhere and I will attach it at the bottom of my post...

I know people were saying the photos Castello released were from the set of a movie, but apparently there was a case that the photos Castello released were dated before the release of that specific movie by a large enough margin where it couldn't have been true...

Anyway, I think it's a shame that if any of it is true, it gets muddled with so much fiction (maybe Schneider) just for the sake of either making fun of people who truly believe in these kinds of things, trying to get their attention away from something else, or just for public sensationalism....

(it's very long, and I may have posted this in a Dulce Base post I made a year or so ago but for those that wish to divulge their curiosity...)

I don't personally believe the Dulce battle story, but the place is definitely a paranormal hotspot. The Native Americans who live there have plenty of stories that have nothing to do with Schneider's tale. Norio Hayakawa made an excellent post on AH about the possibility that the mesa was used for nuclear testing and work continues there to this day.
