Dealt with a local small business owner. Rebuilds starters and alternators and I got one of each in June. Been having a lot of 'click no start' problems that could be from many sources. I did my best to eliminate the usual culprits but finally had to tear it out and go back to him.

No receipt necessary. He remembered me and recognized his work. Immediately took that one aside and produced another. These things aren't so common anymore so that alone was surprising. Stopped whatever he was doing, actually listened to what I as saying and made a helpful change based on that. Working perfectly, real slick.

This is how things are supposed to work yet seem to be increasingly more rare. A great difference between that and the catshitnasty retail environment we all swim in.

Debbie received her sophomore cheerleader outfit. seeing both my twins getting ready for the school year fills me with pride. Ian delivered flowers to his old teacher.
Chris is ready for 4th grade and samantha is going to K4.
all my kids are now set up for the school year. time to hit the mall.
    or what's left of it.

Its a Friday and the first day of a three day weekend, have a slight hangover lol but feeling good, I was just out at the garden, have 8 watermelon growing on the vines, one almost ready to pick, maybe a couple more days to go yet...The peppers are just starting to flower, they were planted about a month later than I usually plant, and the green beans are almost spent, the green beans I planted earlier than anything else...In about another hour I'll take the dog and hike out into the forest and let him run a little, Kobi's b-day is in a couple weeks, he will be 8 years old, 56 in dog years...

I commonly get buzzed by green June Beetles. They crash a lot as if they have poor flight skills.

8-4 the Beld street bullfrogs lost to go to 7-4 with 4 games left.
it was an early night for Ian as he walked then his friend Eric was hit by a pitch. Ian and Eric charged the mound and a short scuffle later the pitcher Eric and Ian were ejected!
The trip to the showers and the chewing out by the coach was punishment enough for Ian..

It's rare that Mrs. Pigfarmer and I go out but tonight we're meeting some friends for a couple of beers or more likely some hard cider. Never been there but Wednesday is Pierogi night.

If you got a Pierogi night in the first place you're already a step ahead of most, in my book anyway.

Noticed that all the young men in the craft beer fancy-foodie place we were in last night all had luxuriant hair and beards. Well coiffed - obviously Dapper Dan men. They were all also a bit pudgy, had the same Clark Kent glasses on and all had weird plastic buttons in their ears. Must be getting old.

Also noticed the gentrification of the area - if you could apply that term to anything Poughkeepsie, NY.
Makes for a weird and mix and vibe.

The pierogis and brats were good. Don't need fruit or flowery smells in my beer though ....
