While we're not on the subject of TV shows I saw that Ghost Hunters is back on A&E. Ho hum. More of "did you hear that???" and blinky lights.

I thought of a truly new way for them to do the show and ratings would go through the roof.

Each week pick an investigator - I figure a prop something like the big Wheel of Fortune where you spin it and it stops on somebody's name. Add some drama. Then take this person and fully wire them with all their gadgets. And I mean FULLY - leave no orifice unfilled. We need data.

Then actually kill the investigator. Whack them. Dirt nap. That way they'll already be 'on the line' with the team and we can finally get that veridical info we're after. Now, I understand there might be some pushback on this but it would definitely get me to tune in regularly.

Yesterday I happen to be walking down 3rd Avenue in New York with my 89 year old mother in law on my arm. You can't be in a hurry when you're doing that.

Suddenly some (I'm assuming) homeless dirty Grade A #1 total nutcase picked me out of the crowd from a distance and headed headed toward me like a gimbally tic tac intercepting a North Korean missile. Apparently my hat - a nondescript black ball cap with a blacked out American flag on it - triggered him. Followed us for almost two blocks ranting at me about:

- he told me they were going to get to me and they did
- that's how they 'got inside' and cracked the code
- no shit - quite a bit of mumbling about the Men in Black
- we're being followed (well yeah, by my wife right then)

So I was thinking, I'm on a street with maybe a thousand people in view and he has to zero in on me from a distance. And then - and I'm pretty sure he did - start yelling about me being a Man in Black. Well, I guess I was. But my shorts were tan at least so at a minimum that should tell you I'm off duty.

Fortunately he tired of this when he got no reaction. I wish I could've told him that The Aviary was displeased with his last assignment or that we were no longer using the Purple Cipher - but when the MiB has his MiL in tow we have to keep these things to a minimum

I did a little pruning around the yard. It actually turned out to be a full bed load of limbs. I managed to dig out a 2 1/2 foot root ball out of the fence line, by noon than went and helped a friend that acquired a bicycle with a motor and to help him get it going but the thing needs a throttle cable. And this last week it has seemed like i have been watched and followed. Paranoid i guess, cause i never do a damn thing except try to stay out of trouble & tend to the wifey with her copd and all.and thats trouble in itself, lol

Me too. I have a gigantic hemlock hedge that makes a great privacy barrier but I'm at the point where I need a hot air balloon to be able to trim it. Got one of those long reach pruners and a tall step ladder and have been reaching as far as I can for the past two days pestering it and a cherry tree right in front of the house.

This is why I'm going to have to tape my deodorant to a stick to apply it this morning, and also why I'll probably have to toss my shirt on the bed and slither into it like a snake. Ooooof. Ibuprofen morning.
