That's a riot. I brought in my 8 year old grand-daughter and showed her your story. Thanks.

Should probably have put this in Hobbies but I'm just venting. Chewing nails actually.

I spent the past few weeks tracking down vacuum leaks on my old car and rebuilding the carburetor after a bad flood down. Took a while because shipping is delayed, plus as soon as I was done we have a blizzard. Wasn't really in a hurry.

So today I roll that green p.o.s out in the driveway and want to just turn it over a bit with the coil disconnected to fill the fuel bowls - and now the starter wants to run wild. Had to pull the battery lead which meant getting the right wrench and getting behind the seat into a compartment. Probably looked a bit Keystone there to anyone watching.

Arrrrrrggggh. Fixable but right now if I had TWO asses this would be a pain in both of them.
I sympathize with you. Had a bad MAF on my old Ford Ranger PU. It gave similar signs.
I ended up replacing the fuel filter as well, and now the idle is too high until it warms completely up.
Sigh. Never an end.

This is a cast iron nose starter for a Gen 1 Chevy 350. It's just the solenoid being an attention whore, no real mystery. I just put it on jack stands but have to get to work so enough of that for one day. Over the winter I had intended to rip the seats dash and console out and repair a bunch of small stuff that's been neglected over the years. Still will but right now instead of that I'm diddling with carburetors, manifolds and now the starter again. Later tonight I'll sit down there with it, drink a couple of beers and mutter profane nothings to it.

I had to break out my Schwinn varsity 14 speed and ride 7 miles to pick up my truck. it only took this 52 year ol 10 minutes to get there. felt good to get back on it.

I've done enough traveling on business to make the rounds of the chain eateries and now avoid them like the plague. Generic term is So Happy It's Tuesday.

When I was in Buffalo NY on business a few years ago I stayed in a hotel in downtown and this was during the winter months...Stuck in a hotel with piles of snow outside and the closest easiest restaurant to get to was TGI Fridays, it was conveniently connected to the hotel via the lobby...Needless to say I visited that place to eat and drink more times than I cared for, some snowy nights went to their bar and drank before ordering food to eat there or take back to my suite...I think I tried almost everything on their menu by the time winter was over...I've never had the desire to go to TGI Fridays ever since...

I had an after work party for my top managers there one night. Bill came to about $300. But then they kicked us out, for being "disorderly". Can't understand why. Never been back to any of them.

The company I worked for when I was in NY paid for all my meals as long as I kept the receipts, but they didn't pay for any alcoholic drinks at the restaurant unless I ordered food with the drinks...As long as food was on the receipt they covered the whole bill including drinks lol...

Repairs must be made. You have buttons for Like, Agree, Awesome, etc,
but nothing for "Jealous".

Whenever I can't locate something, or I have a problem making a decision, I do what
my father taught me to do when I was a child. He said "ask your Wife, and then do
just the opposite - it usually turns out to be the right thing".

Your wife must have heard you say that once and started using reverse psychology on you.

Man, I got sentenced to a few days in Buffalo years back. No fun. I saw the USS The Sullivans each day from the high rise I was working in but never got to go down and look at it. First prize is a trip to Buffalo. Second prize is two trips ....

Kobi sprained a leg, pulled a muscle today chasing something, he was running and slipped on the wet leaves and grass or something in the woods...I had to carry him out of the woods and back to the house then in the car and to the emergency vet...Then the check engine light goes off in my car while driving...O2 sensor messing up or the air control valve, taking it back to the shop on Monday and taking kobi back to the vet on Monday...The vet gave me some pain meds for him and got a wrap on his front leg, he's limping a lot, trying to keep him from waking too much, he wants to follow me everywhere around the house...

Sorry to hear that. Poor boy. I feel for you.

I had a shepherd mix dog that did something like that except she pulled up her totally gimp and suddenly useless hind leg. Turned out my vet was the local surgical go to guy for that particular whateveritwas. He said he replaced it with '80 lb test line' and she was fine for years afterward.

That's terrible poor Kobi. :( Be good on Monday when he gets back to see the vets and get him fixed up , let us know how he does. Also your car I hope they fix that as well. Give Kobi a pat from me.

Its the way he tries get something, for instance he will see something moving in bushes up ahead and go wide open towards it and waits until the last seconds to put on the brakes, he's trying to get to that spot as quick as he can...I sometimes say something to him when he's running if I don't want him to go that far or in that direction and he will stop and come back to me, after this injury I'm going to keep him from running hard like that...Hopefully it isn't too damaged and he heals quickly, the ER vet said it wasn't broken and I see kobi walking and putting more weight on it than he could earlier...He's sleeping in my bed right now lol...
