Got me a set of shiny red wheel dollies .... and that's about as exciting as it got today. Space is at a premium and even being able to nudge it over a few inches is helpful.

Never seen those before. Did you have to jack the vehicle and then place them under one at a time? They just don't look very sturdy to me. Did you try nudging it yet?

Couldn't hardly sleep last night, guess I got enough or too much sleep the night (and day) before lol...

...
My sleep cycles are totally out of whack.

We have some out of town friends in the area. They want to stop by here and then proceed to another mutual friend's house for dinner. They already got the covid shots for themselves but would you believe I had to have that talk with them about safety?

I'm beginning to think I should have isolated one more week. My wife's about three days behind me and is is still not doing all that well. We both have residual congestion and runny noses. I know we are past the really tough parts and that this might even just be a cold - but the idea of coming here and all sitting around catching up at the table and then he and his wife traveling over to another house for dinner with two friends who have not had to shot or had covid, noooooo Bad idea.

This is why they have to put warnings like 'do not drink' on paint and 'be careful this coffee is hot' on cups.

We're going to have a socially distanced driveway howdy instead

I'm so lucky to be in the position I am in. Sounds weird to say lucky when I'm talking about being disabled. But, hey, my paycheck is steady and I don't have to leave the apartment unless it's necessary.

The apartment building that I rent from is subsidized and normally they drive me crazy because they always find a reason to enter. They are checking for hoarders of course and we do have several of them, but they can't say that because it would be prejudicial so everyone gets notice of entry and you have to sit around and be ready for them to show up any time between 8am-6pm. Since the pandemic, they don't want to enter so I can relax and keep my own schedule.

My doctor says eat when your hungry and sleep when your tired. That's not as easy as it sounds when the whole world runs on a 9-5 schedule. But since the pandemic I have been able to do that and believe it or not it is the first time I have felt this relaxed in 12 years.

The only thing I am having trouble with is that since I quit smoking 16 months ago, I have craved cigarettes every waking moment. When I sleep I sometimes dream that I have a smoke. I like those dreams. lol I am going to have to accept that I am going to crave those fuckers for the rest of my life, I guess. Two days ago I was sitting here playing devil's advocate thinking that I could go get one pack at the store next door and just smoke one. I love the money that I save from not smoking and so I tell myself daily, "I can never smoke another cigarette as long as I live."

Well apparently my 4 year old grandson has my insight as my wife puts it. My daughter and her husband were talking about her mom that just passed when the boy said I know nana is dead, but she is ok. Than later that day she was looking at pictures and he pics one up and said look its me. the pic which he never seen before was a x ray of his lungs when he was born.

How did you respond to him?

Picked up the rental car, a 2021 Hyundai Sonata, it drives okay, good enough for a rental car...Still waiting to hear from the insurance company on how much they're giving me for my car...

...

I know this sounds like a silly question but is your insurance going to go up because of this accident? My friends did.

Well, lost a day of work yesterday.
We had a minor earthquake, which we get about every three months. Unless we forget
to drop our sacrifice in the Volcano, in which case it comes more often.
Anyway, a shelf fell in the bathroom - which, being wood, was easy to fix, but
it dropped and broke the toilet. Water all over.
Took me the whole day to replace it, and reminded me that my muscles need more exercise.

You sound so "matter of fact" about the earth quake. You are not supposed to get used to these things happening. lol

I wanted to give you all an update since I haven't been around much in the past 3 weeks... I have actually been in and out of the hospital for the past three weeks the third visit to the hospital they kept me and this is my third day now in a hospital room...

Early on when this began it was discovered I had multiple Black Widow bites which put me down because of the amount of toxins...They isolated that problem and resolved it...

However a persistent but random high fever kept hitting me constantly, random meaning it will hit me anytime day or night no pattern and to a point where I had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance...They have been running a multitude of tests these last 3 days find out what's causing the high fever and blood work is pointing towards a inflammation and infection somewhere in my body but they don't know where it's at yet...

So here I am stuck in the hospital until the doctors figure this out and resolve the problem...

Wholly shit, Nivek. Where were all these spiders, were they in your house?

I only found 2 in my bedroom, must have been biting me when I slept at night...All the rain we've been having in recent months may have drove them to come in the house, never had a spider problem before...

Are you home?

Yes, they let me out of the hospital about 12:30 yesterday afternoon...I drove myself home, then went grocery shopping, dog food shopping and the bank, all of that was exhausting...Having been laid up in bed for a couple weeks or so that amount of walking, driving, and unloading groceries took a lot of effort lol...

Yup, I jacked it up and slid them under. They are extremely sturdy and I have shoved it around the garage several times. They cost $140 delivered are made of steel and have decent casters. There are real cheap plastic ones at Harbor Freight that are .... real cheap. Not hard to move at all if you use your brain not your back but a single tiny pebble can stop the whole thing. The professional ones that slip around the tire and also act as a jack start in the $250 range - each. Urgh.

My wife's phrases - 'some things are only worth so much' goes along with 'buy cheap buy twice'

work on that old car slowed to a crawl lately but I hope to put a few hours in today. I got the heater core back in, replaced the vacuum actuators to the vents, heater, defroster and all the associated vacuum tubing. Repaired all the breaks and stupid the wiring harness and got all the dash and courtesy lights working. Got the correct black tape without adhesive to wrap it up. Then I have to reassemble the dash and console - I have the correct dye and touch up for all that so it'll be all spiffy again. Many small details but I want to get this thing running again before the weather gets too nice.

It is great being home again, kobi was depressed and not eating for the 5 days I was hospitalized, so he's a happy dog once more lol...Exercise, sleep, and nutritious food is on the agenda this week...In the coming weeks I have some outpatient follow-up appointments with the good doctors who tended to me...Novant health is a really good healthcare organization, stellar service and care, I highly recommend Novant health services, they really took excellent care of me...

After a fun snow day with the grandparents it's back to work.
Samantha is back in 1st grade in person classes. She comes home singing songs of long ago like "I been working on the railroad. "
Chris returned to in person classes today and Ian next week.
All great tonic for them.

Today was an awesome day. I was chosen to help create the business bounce back plan that our data payroll and HR company will offer those business hurt by the pandemic.
The boys are back to normal. Seems grandma burus talked to them "and next time ask." Will be the watchword.

Went into town today to get supplies, bad thunder storms with possible tornadoes coming tomorrow, I wasn't as tired coming home as I was a couple days ago when I went to town, definite improvements each day...No more high fevers since being discharged, the good doctor from the hospital even called me to check up on me, I have an appointment to see her at the end of the month for a follow-up...Today is the best I've felt in almost a month...

That's an interesting word.
What does novant mean?

The name Novant was created by combining two Latin words and one French: Nova (meaning star), Novateur (meaning innovator), and Avant (meaning in advance of or in front of).

So to sum it up, Novant health: stellar innovations in healthcare ahead of all the rest...? :)
