The organization that guy works for could have placed a tracker on your vehicle. If you have On-Star I would disconnect it because they can hack your vehicle. Forcing a conversation about something arbitrary could be meant to acquire a voice sample from you.

If On-Star is a monthly subscription service then I do not have it active...I've seen it on one of the digital pages in my dashboard HMI (human-machine interface) but I haven't activated it...If it's an automated service from the dealer then it might be active however I doubt this is the case for a 2013 year model vehicle...

Sound advice. I don't know if I could actually follow it, but they're right.

    This guy needs a beating.

Yeah they are right although in the moment I doubt I will follow that suggestion, but hopefully I don't run into this character again...I'll be definitely watching out for him or anyone who approaches my car, I park the furthest I can from the storefront away from everyone...There's no reason for anyone to be approaching my car unless their intentions are criminal, it's not like I live in a big city and this town I frequent where these stores are at is a small town, about 1800 population, so the parking lot are never full even with people all around the county shopping there, especially at Walmart which has a huge parking lot thats barely ever filled to even half capacity...You see other cars speckled about who also park remotely, away from everyone else who parks closer to the storefronts, it's not like I'm the only one parking this way...

Yeah I suppose he is a fairly valuable dog, he's a purebred Australian Shepherd, long haired, and his colours and markings do increase his value...

Lately I've been going in town about 2 or 3 times a week and in the afternoons around the same time so I'm changing those timetables some, tomorrow I'm going earlier in the morning...

What kind of dog do you have? There must be something about his looks that attracts dog nappers.

Hopefully they started feeling heat and moved on.
Though, of course it would be ideal if they got caught.

It's not farfetched to say the person you talked to told him you reported it.

Pruned the apple tree, mowed the yard and the meadow, and tilled the garden all before noon...A productive morning lol, we're having nice weather again today, sunshine and a high of 73 degrees...That was the last tilling of the garden, planting will start soon...

There's a backstory in my connection with this dog, he appeared in a dream with me 2 weeks before I got him...In the dream as a puppy he was riding with me in a pickup truck, I stopped somewhere and got out leaving the puppy in the truck and I asked this fellow standing nearby who's dog that was...He said it's going to be my dog, he said that's your dog and I woke up...I had been looking online on Craigslist and other websites for dogs and about 2 weeks later after that dream I woke up that morning and looking on Craigslist and there was a new ad of Australian Shepherd puppies, I clicked and opened it and there was a picture of a few of the puppies and included in that picture was my dog, the puppy, just as I saw him in the dream...I called the number immediately and asked about the puppy, they still had him so I jumped in my car and went to get him, an hour drive and got him...

We walked into a PetCo knowing they were having an 'adoption event'. Each weekend they let a different local shelter set up. The crowd parted and there was a doofy kid holding my dog. I actually said out loud 'that's my dog and her name is Pie' and by golly, I was right ! She's a mutt but priceless to us.

Went to our favorite spot yesterday to hike and it was deserted. A hundred acre park and we encountered four people. Three of them work there. Suits me just fine.

I have a new dog, got her about 3 months ago. I have always had standard poodles except for 2 dogs I rescued. I loved those dogs but it took me a lot longer to train the dachsund, and the pit bull/shepherd was a mess. A very good smart dog, but he had been abused so it was like pins and needles taking him for a walk. About the time I finally had him trained to ignore all other dogs this boston terrier ran down stairs from an apartment as we walked by and jumped on him chewing on his neck. He got ahold of the demon dog's foot and was chewing it up, the owner of the dog who was visiting her friend and the friend ran down and just jumped around screaming, no help at all. I always walked George with a choke chain so I picked him up (I had strength back then, he weighed about 55 pounds) and choked him until he let the dog go. The dachsund was old and blind by then and she was just trying to stay out of it but the demon dog jumped her so I had to kick it off of her and it jumped back on George who was breathing again. He got another foot and was chewing it up so I had to choke him again (I hate that). He let the demon dog go and it ran back up the stairs and the humans ran after it never saying a word to me. A few days later the kid in that family that lived in the apartment told me that they had to take the demon dog to the vet and it had to have surgery. The owner was trying to find out where I lived so she could send me a bill. The boy said he never intended on telling anyone where I lived because he did not like the woman and he knew it was her fault. He and I had chatted a few times before and he petted George dog sometimes. George was great with kids but I was nervous because of the things that triggered him.

So my old standard poodles died last year and I have been without a big dog for over a year when the neighbors rented their garage apartment to a 20 something with some really idiotic friends who have made it a game to come in my yard at night and bang on my wall and then run back. I decided I needed a big dog and wanted a poodle but they are few and far between nowadays. I could buy a puppy from out of state for 3000.00 but that is not in my budget. I talked to some rescue groups but I was not happy with their philosophies (one does a more extensive background check than an employer, the other is busy running around the south west picking up dogs she has no room for) and the pound did not have anything that I felt connected to. Then my daughter showed me a photo of a dog someone she was friended to on facebook was giving away. The story, now that I have the dog, does not match up. But she is a good dog, just not a poodle, and I suspect she has been abused. At least I have the training and patience to work with her. I think she is chow, husky, red healer or some other herding dog, and something else. She is the first dog I have ever met that is scared of riding in the car. She hates collars and harnesses and is difficult to control on a walk because of that, always trying to escape the harness or collar. I tried the easy walker halter and she flipped out so bad I thought she was going to hurt herself. I guess someone must have kept her muzzled for some reason. So I had to get a choke chain. She is not liking it but she is learning to walk on a leash and I am hoping after a few months I can just put the harness on her and have a nice walk with her instead of the choke chain. She is not dangerous, just impulsive, like a puppies are. It makes me wish there was a law that people had to have training before being allowed to own a dog.

My daughter and her neighbors have been experiencing a drone flying around their yards and apartments over and over for the past two weeks. I tried to find some kind of signal jammer that would disable the drone for them, but could not find anything. There was a database you could sign up for to program drones to not fly over your address, but that is defunct and it only worked if the company making the drones used it and the owners of the drones updated their firmware.

What is the deal? It should be illegal for people to case someone's house with a drone. My daughter called the police and they told her that if she knew she was being stalked they could make a report, but other wise they couldn't even do that.

At last my daughter Debbie came To us and sat down they have a very adult and Frank discussion. Rikki and I. Gave her words of encouragement and support is she is moving forward into more adult decisions regarding Her life. We both knew this day would come. The day we realize that our twin girls at the edge of reaching 19 years of age are no longer children. The future is theirs to take.
