It was a sad 2 days for Ian. On Thursday, we traveled to Webber-Wi for game one of the state finals. Round one
Best of 3 Thursday night saw a slugfest as the long ball was in force. In the end 10-5 Webber won.
Then last night it was lights out. A 2-hit masterpiece of a game by Webber. Every at bat Ian was struck out. On his last at bat a call strike three. He tipped his hat to the pitcher. A sign of sportsmanship and respect.
2-0 Webber moves on. In Ian's words "we won the after party!"
The end of a magnificent joinior year in baseball. Well earned sports letter.

OK so tonight I seen a plane circling our local airport at a low altitude, I can always here them it's not far away really, but this plane had no sound whatsoever. I went got the ol lady and asked her if she noticed anything strange about it. She said it was like it was in stealth mode. She's never seen that before and neither have I. What's up with that. Two more months until our son is born, time is moving fast lately...My wife and baby are doing very well, it's myself that is still recovering from some strenuous work activity a few weeks ago, causing a baker's cyst in my right knee and a hernia in my upper abdomen...First time I've been injured to this degree in 22 years, its been painfully rough but I'm healing well...Also our Great Pyrenees puppy Aven will be a year old next month, it has been tough raising a BIG puppy during her pregnancy, but Aven is coming along well and he is becoming gentler and more laid back as he matures...

In September a part of a class project Samantha wrote a letter to King Charles 3rd. She told him of the horse she helped into the world. And the photo of her with it. Since the horse was born days after the death of the Queen she named her Lizbeth. To honor her
On Wednesday she received a response!
The letter written by a "George Vincent Abbott" a secretary to the king. He thanked her. And that he had shared it with his majasty. And it was received with "warmth and affection"
And the king was touched by the gesture.
And his majasty had directed him to send tokens of his appreciation.
The letter contained a photo of his majasty and a one once British gold sovereign. Yes a coin one once pure gold!
The letter and photo will hang on a bulletin board at school with other responses.
The coin is going to a safe deposit box
A great thanksgiving gift!

Happy New Years to everyone, we are happy as can be with the arrival of our first child and only child, we wanted only one...My wife wanted a boy and her wish came true, our family is now complete...We have another child of the canine variety, Aven who is just over a year old, his breed is supposedly great with children and I already see that in his mannerisms since the baby came home...
