Hi Kyrre, and a warm welcome to the site .
[if you are still around]…. Thanks for the input , I am late to this thread [Auggies are always interesting] , and found it a probable 'good old yarn' and wondered if i could add any validity to the story by checking the provenance to the tale via internet search. And could not verify that this case was indeed on MUFON's records. [might be my weak researching skills though. lol] and so tried to find other more original sources for the story, but only came across re-hashes and didn't know where the origin of the tale was.
I see that your source is the book "Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials: The Real War of the Worlds" by Frank Joseph that was first published 16 months ago. And seems to be a verbatim copy of an old Billy Booth 'liveabout.com' article from 10 years ago. But no link to a MUFON reference.
So far, beyond that.... nothing as yet. .. but I will keep trying to track the original source and MUFON entry down because this kind of story is just up my street lol. But without any further corroboration I tend to treat these articles/YT-videos with a dose of salt. But if you have any further info or leads to share then I would be gratefully interested my friend.

I know that it is a little off topic on this thread but I just thought that I would mention that USO's are very real and have always held my deepest fascination. And then equally there has always been other underwater mysteries that have delighted my sense of wonderment . And apart from the obvious USO theme to this thread, I would like to mention a rather strange underwater mystery that i've always been in two minds as to whether was related or even a bi-product of the USO phenomena... and that is 'The Quackers'. … Weird noises heard by mainly Russian submariners during the cold war and were predominantly in the northern Atlantic Ocean, particularly in places such as the Barents Sea north of Scandinavia as well as the Arctic Ocean, although they were reported as far south as the Bermuda Triangle.

USO have always interested me, but I feel very little will be learned from probing the ocean depths for them. Their technology allows them to make themselves out of phase of normal matter, allowing them to enter and leave water without disturbing the water and to also pass through solid matter. Any underwater bases they have are actually below the ocean floor by miles.
They reach the depth below the sea bed they desire. Create a cavern in any shape or size they need for a base. They then can revert to normal state within this cavern, to set up the base. The base thus is a totally sealed cavity. They come and go through the use of phasing technology. When they are finished with such base(s). They use the same technology to create the cavity to revert it back. Leaving absolutely no indication it was ever there.
