I don't care who you are!: Man is arrested for punching a NYPD officer after confronting protesters opposed to Drag Queen Story Hour for kids as young as THREE at NYC's iconic Public Library

The incident transpired Saturday at the main branch of the Big Apple's storied library system, where kids aged 3 to 9 had been gathered to attend a 'Drag Story Hour' event presided over by library officials and local drag queens. The event, like other similar processions that have surfaced across the country, drew unwanted criticism - in this case from members of a local conservative group, who gathered as the children were sectioned off safely in another room. Chase Catapano, 28, is seen on camera egging on the protesters, hurling insults and defamatory gestures at parents toting signs bearing messages such as 'Leave our kids alone,' 'Shut it down,' and 'Respect childhood.' Eventually, the confrontation gets physical, after Catapano - who has a record of civil disobedience - rips a sign out of one protester's hands and puts his hands on the plain-clothes officer. A few feet away, a woman can be seen ushering a small child away from the mayhem, which saw Catapano arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, attempted assault, and obstructing governmental administration.

Pennsylvania school board treasurer says she cannot vote for 'the only cis white male' candidate for president because it would 'send the wrong signal' - despite admitting he'd do an 'excellent' job

Treasurer Jennifer Solot (main), who led the meeting until a new president was elected, said it would 'send the wrong message' to elect Greg D'Elia (inset) over April Stainback.Ms Stainback defeated Mr D'Elia - a father-of-three who previously served as an area School Director and during previous races had the backing of area Democrats - 8-1. Ms Solot's comments were followed by new board member Sarah Byrnes, who paused before saying, 'This is very hard to do as the new person on the board,' before casting her vote for Ms Stainback.

Cambridge Dictionary changes definition of 'man' and 'woman': '1984 wasn't supposed to be a how-to manual'

Cambridge Dictionary is being criticized by conservatives on social media for altering the definitions of the words "man" and "woman" to include people who identify as a gender other than their biological sex.

The definition of woman, which previously represented the longstanding view on sex, now states that a woman is "an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth."

Similarly, a man is now defined as "an adult who lives and identifies as male though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth."

This change was met with pushback from many, who argued that redefining society's categorization of gender and sex is harmful and inaccurate.

"Cambridge Dictionary just dropped a new definition of ‘woman’," Christopher Rufo, a fellow at the Manhattan Institute, tweeted. Rufo also pointed out that the dictionary used the pronoun "they" to describe the subject rather than "she".

"Notice that the dictionary writers say ‘*they* may have been.’ They couldn't bring themselves to write 'she may have been,' because they know they're lying. That's the tell," he tweeted. "Ceding linguistic territory to the radical Left. What could go wrong?" conservative commentator Rita Panahi wrote.

Daily Caller writer Mary Rooke wrote, "F-ing traitors to the truth. Cambridge Dictionary is only the latest. If we don’t stop them from erasing women our civilization is [not going to make it]."

Adam Brooks, a British social commentator, questioned whether women are happy with the change.

"Oh wow, the @CambridgeWords dictionary definition of a woman is shocking, how did we get here? Surely women aren’t happy with this?" he wrote.

Dan McLaughin, a senior writer at National Review, argued the change is Orwellian. "1984 wasn't supposed to be a how-to manual," he tweeted.

President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton tweeted, "War on women, update…"

Cambridge Dictionary's alteration of the words "woman" and "man" reflect a growing trend on the left to reject the once universally accepted usage of those categories. In April, Fox News published a report that highlighted numerous Biden administration agencies' failure to be able to answer the question: "What is a woman?".

Brighton University urges staff to not say 'Christmas' because it's too 'Christian-centric' - and instead call it the 'winter closure period'

The University of Brighton has advised staff to not say 'Christmas' and instead call it the 'winter closure period'.

The word 'Christmas' is too 'Christian-centric', according to a nine-page 'Inclusive Language Guidance' document sent to lecturers at the university.

Staff are also advised not to ask students 'What is your Christian name?' but instead ask 'What is your first name?' or 'What is your given name?'

Generalisations about a group of people based on their age, such as saying 'millennial snowflakes' or 'old people cannot use technology', should also be avoided, according to the guidance.

Staff should be 'empowered' to use 'inclusive language confidently and effectively, in order to ensure that both students and staff alike feel safe, valued and respected', the document says.

Bill Maher skewers woke left for not understanding freedom: ‘Freedom should be a liberal thing’

Bill Maher said liberalism and woke culture should not be accepted as the same thing during his latest episode of his podcast "Club Random."

His guest, billionaire Mark Cuban began the conversation by decrying the arrogance of the tech culture in California.

"I’d rather start a business in Dallas all day, every day. I will not in San Francisco," Cuban said.

Maher agreed and, sensing the criticism he’d receive from fellow liberals, said of the conversation: "The woke will cast this to some sort of two conservatives. No, we're not conservatives. We're not conservative…. You guys don't get it.
Woke and liberal are two different things."

Parents demand woke principal of America's top public school be fired after she withheld prestigious National Merit Awards from top students to boost 'equity' and protect feelings of kids who didn't win one

The decision by brass at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax, Virginia, was reportedly part of a new school strategy meant to provide 'equal outcomes for every student, without exceptions.' As a result, pupils whom had been named 'commended students' by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation purposely left in the dark as to not 'hurt the feelings of' other students. Only learning of the distinction a few months ago in the fall, the student body and their families are irate - and were seen outside the school Friday airing their displeasure. In particular, parents called for the axing of principal Ann Bonitatibus and Director of Student Services Brandon Kosatka - alleging they are responsible. One mom seen at the procession, along with dozens of others, demanded 'action' against the pair be taken immediately.

California University will no longer use the word 'field' over racist 'connotations'

The University of Southern California's School of Social Work will no longer use the word "field" because it "may have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign," according to a letter from the department.

USC's Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work will make the change in order to ensure the use of "inclusive language and practice," according to the letter. "Specifically, we have decided to remove the term ‘field’ from our curriculum and practice and replace it with ‘practicum,'" the letter said. "This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that would be considered anti-Black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive language."

"Language can be powerful, and phrases such as ‘going into the field’ or ‘field work’ maybe have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign," the letter continued.

The goal of the change was to "to honor and acknowledge inclusion and reject white supremacy, anti-immigrant and anti-blackness ideologies," according to the letter. Additionally, the USC's School of Social Work states that the "bedrock" of its values and principles is "to work together to train social work students today who understand and embody social and racial justice."

"We are committing to further align our actions, behaviors, and practices with anti-racism and anti-oppression, which requires taking a close and critical look at our profession – our history, our biases, and our complicity in past and current injustices," the letter stated. "USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work is joining other universities in making this change," the school told Fox News Digital.

Wtf, going after brownies now?...

Canada's Girl Scouts will drop the name 'Brownie' - for its youngest members - because the term is 'racist'... members who will now be called 'Embers'

The Canadian Girl Scouts have dropped the name Brownie in favor of Embers after the term was deemed 'racist' and 'offended' some of its members.

The name change was announced by Girl Guides of Canada on Wednesday to create a more inclusive space for the seven and eight-year-old girls branch, according to a news release by Girl Guides.

'With this new name we're showing girls that what they say matters, and that Girl Guides is a place for everyone to belong,' according to a tweet Girl Guides posted.

Girl Guides of Canada said they decided to change the name of their branch in November after current and former members claimed the previous name caused harm and was a barrier to belonging for racialized girls and women.

A nationwide search was conducted that involved girl, youth and adult members to find the right name.

Now SPACE is racist! Woke Colorado astrophysics professor moans her field is riddled with 'white supremacy' and sexism - with colleagues using 'hypermasculine' and 'violent' language to describe the cosmos

Colorado astrophysicist moans her field is riddled with 'white supremacy' and sexism

A Colorado astrophysicist has claimed sexism and white supremacy are steeped in her field because 'hypermasculine' and 'violent' language is used to describe stars. Natalie Gosnell (left), an assistant professor at Colorado College, takes an unconventional approach to physics by comparing stars with humans to turn science into an art. In an interview with the college newspaper she said that she has struggled to overcome a division between art and science that is rooted in 'systemic racism.'
