The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program

Would not surprise me if there were other programs as it pertains to that as well that has even higher budgets.

WASHINGTON — In the $600 billion annual Defense Department budgets, the $22 million spent on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was almost impossible to find.

Which was how the Pentagon wanted it.

For years, the program investigated reports of unidentified flying objects, according to Defense Department officials, interviews with program participants and records obtained by The New York Times. It was run by a military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo, on the fifth floor of the Pentagon’s C Ring, deep within the building’s maze.

As Above So Below
Here are two videos in regards to this program, US military planes encountering unidentified aerial phenomenon...

The GIMBAL video was captured by a US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet using the Raytheon AN/ASQ-228 Advanced Targeting Forward-Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) pod and includes commentary of the pilots being amazed by what they’re seeing and trying to determine what it is.

The 2004 Nimitz FLIR1 video is described as “the only official footage captured by a US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet present at the 2004 Nimitz incident off the coast of San Diego.” Both videos come with detailed commentary and additional data.

The US Spent £16.5 Million on a Mysterious UFO Analysis Programme

The Pentagon quietly ran a $22 million (£16.5 million) programme to study unidentified flying objects from 2008 to 2012 at the behest of former Senator Harry Reid, the New York Times reported on Saturday, after considering numerous accounts of unexplained phenomena that could involve advanced technology developed by foreign governments or even aliens dropping in to spy on our crapsack world. For years, this programme had federal contractors scurrying around trying to identify unexplained phenomena like Mulder and Scully instead of developing new and innovative ways to kill people.

Tom Delonge is touting the same ufo videos and released that 'data' weeks ago.
No doubt more disinfo to feed the appetites of the ufo fans.

I don't think this is going to surprise anyone here, but it is one big example of how the military is still very much interested in the UFO question. An quote from the guy who ran the project reveals that alot of folks in DOD still are dead set against Ufology:

"Despite overwhelming evidence at both the classified and unclassified levels, certain individuals in the [Defense] Department remain staunchly opposed to further research on what could be a tactical threat to our pilots, sailors and soldiers, and perhaps even an existential threat to our national security," Elizondo wrote in a resignation letter to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, the Post reported.

I have to say the footage is pretty compelling.. their reactions seem genuine as well. If this has been released, it makes you wonder what else they have that hasn't been released.

The recently released footage shows a 2014 encounter between an apparent object roughly the size of a commercial plane and two Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets from the aircraft carrier Nimitz.

Commander David Fravor and Lieutenant Commander Jim Slaight were on a routine training mission 100 miles out into the Pacific when they were asked to investigate the object.

Actually if it was 2014 and they are releasing it only 3.5 years later.....I think that shows its not that interesting and shows something that is no longer classified.

This footage comes from the Navy, maybe they are a little more forthcoming than the Air Force? It only confirms what we have all known for years, but perhaps it is a small measure of progress.

That doesn't look like a Tic-Tac to me. Are the Tic-Tacs available from military PXs a different shape than normal Tic-Tacs?

We are not alone. If you are feeling lonely remember there are 7.6 billion other people out there.

I can't see any of the 7.6 billion from where I am so does that mean they don't really exist ?

You need to move to right some, go north a bit, and climb to a higher elevation.

Or you could just go to the mainland and look around, you should see a couple of thousand.

They are generally spread out so they don't step on each other.

Navy pilot describes 2004 encounter with UFO off San Diego coast

Saw the story in the Sandiegouniontribune and was bewildered because they used stock footage of a T38C trainer in a story about an F/A-18F pilot sighting.
