The Pentagon’s UAP Task Force

Mideast Security and Policy Studies Paper #183

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In June 2020, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence unveiled the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) at the Office of Naval Intelligence—a successor to the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). This paper dives down the rabbit hole with Defense Department insiders, scientists, and declassified material to find answers to a host of questions: Are mystery craft near-peer adversary platforms or exotic US platforms? What is the technology behind them? What kind of threat do they pose? What are the geostrategic implications? And what are we not being told?

I can't believe they devoted that many pages to Jack Sarfatti's zany ideas, which can't even pass the peer-review process for publication. That author should just give him a private tongue bath to spare the rest of us from having to read about it. I think I'll print up some hard copies for kindling this winter.

CONGRESSIONAL UPDATE (Dec. 12, 2020): There has been considerable interest among the UAP-minded in a directive proposed in June 2020 by the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), instructing the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to produce a non-classified report on UAP within 6 months of (hoped for) enactment of the bill to which the directive was linked, the Intelligence Authorization Act (IAA).

However, as the 116th Congress enters its closing days, prospects for enactment of the IAA now appear to be slim. If the bill is not enacted, the SSCI's directive will have less force. However, this does not mean that the SSCI lacks resources to pursue the UAP issue, if it wishes to do so, during the new Congress that convenes on January 3, 2021.

On Dec. 12, 2020, I posted an extended update on my Twitter account (@ddeanjohnson), explaining what has been happening with the SSCI's UAP proposal, including a July video clip of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL.), acting SSCI chair, discussing the proposal. Those so inclined can access this tweet-chain update by clicking on the link below, and then on the link labeled "Show this thread." It is NOT necessary for you to have a Twitter account to read tweet-chains.

..At around the two minute mark Brennan says... "SOME OF THE PHENOMENA WERE GONNA BE SEEING"... does that mean that he knows that there is more video releases from UAPTF in the pipeline?

Cheers.

A hurried statement from Gillibrand:

Welcome to what New Yorkers already knew. We have two senators and 1.8 of them are Chuck Schumer. The other 0.2 is a sock puppet. Last time I said this I was reminded of the impressive positions she occupies. Yuh huh.

This is an excellent and important presentation from Josh Greenwald:

Honestly, and I've said this before,
I don't know what the government could reveal that people couldn't just learn for themselves from studying the history of UFOs, except for perhaps debris analysis. And I would suggest that if they have debris, it would be similar to a deflated metallic balloon, so advanced, that we wouldn't be able to duplicate the technology, though we would try to match it using analogous technologies that are within our capabilities , this is why we are working to create things like morphing technologies and metamaterials, active camouflage, etc.
I am pretty sure that they don't know where the objects are coming from, though they do sometime come in from deep space, or from the oceans. Their behavior makes perfect sense to me --ongoing contact that doesn't cause a tipping point, perhaps with some sort of intervention in the future.
We aren't in control of the phenomenon --just reacting to it. I hope the phenomenon makes itself known by some event, soon, if it can help us now.

This blog post is interesting:
I think it is perfectly possible that UFOs come from a contiguous universe or reality connected at certain points and times to our own, and they know how to get here and go back again, but I would also consider that "alien" and very likely part of the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis for UFOs, too; if they were not made here on Earth --then ETH!

We have a senator like that in Pennsylvania. His name is Bob Casey Jr. You never hear anything about what he is doing in the Senate. The one issue he is religious about is abortion. He has being anti abortion since day one. Other than that I couldn’t tell you what he stands for on any issues.

It might be real. But even places "corroborating" its legitimacy point to a .mil link where no such logo appears. So far, I can't find any .mil or .gov link that actually displays the above graphic. Maybe the official sites haven't been updated, or making there is too much wishful thinking going around.
