Good points but none to do with me, I am a wait and see in approach right now as there are not enough facts to make claim to one thing or another...I have my theories and opinions which I have posted before in other threads and can do so here if relevant, that are merely based upon the facts that are available currently...

That's true, but given their extremely sophisticated technology, I think we can probably say with confidence that whatever their motivations are, they're most likely very logical.

    Something well worth knowing ...

    Re-published without comment :)

"I now remind each reader that all of the patents submitted to the US Patent Office go through a formal review process, and each patent is reviewed by a board of military representatives from the various branches of the US Military. If any patent becomes of interest to ANY of these representatives, then that patent is pulled from the patent approval process, the patent is taken over by the US Government, the inventors are notified that - that information has become classified in the interests of US national security, and that all of the information regarding this patent is to be boxed up and sent in to the appropriate government office. Also, there are federal rules, financial penalties, and also stiff jail sentences for anyone that refuses to cooperate or discloses any of this "classified information" after receipt of the letter.

You do not believe me? It's called: U.S. Secrecy Order (Title 35, United States Code (1952), Sections 181-188). I know people that have had the "pleasure" of getting such a letter ("...under the penalties of 35 U.S.C. (1952) 182, 186."). They can tell you about it!

This U.S. Secrecy Order is on the internet for your reading pleasure at: SECRECY_ORDER (URLs are case sensitive).

    Consider your receiving this:

    SECRECY ORDER
(Title 35, United States Code (1952), sections 181-188)

NOTICE: To the applicant above named, his heirs, and any and all of his assignees, attorneys and agents, hereinafter designated principals:

You are hereby notified that your application as above identified has been found to contain subject matter, the unauthorized disclosure of which might be detrimental to the national security, and you are ordered in nowise to publish or disclose the invention or any material information with respect thereto, including hitherto unpublished details of the subject matter of said application, in any way to any person not cognizant of the invention prior to the date of the order, including any employee of the principals, but to keep the same secret except by written consent first obtained of the Commissioner of Patents, under the penalties of 35 U.S.C. (1952) 182, 186.

Any other application already filed or hereafter filed which contains any significant part of the subject matter of the above identified application falls within the scope of this order. If such other application does not stand under a security order, it and the common subject matter should be brought to the attention of the Security Group, Licensing and Review, Patent Office.

If, prior to the issuance of the secrecy order, any significant part of the subject matter has been revealed to any person, the principals shall promptly inform such person of the secrecy order and the penalties for improper disclosure. However, if such part of the subject matter was disclosed to any person in a foreign country or foreign national in the U.S., the principals shall not inform such person of the secrecy order, but instead shall promptly furnish to the Commissioner of Patents the following information to the extent not already furnished: date of disclosure; name and address of the disclosee; identification of such part; and any authorization by a U.S. government agency to export such part. If the subject matter is included in any foreign patent application, or patent, this should be identified. The principals shall comply with any related instructions of the Commissioner.

This order should not be construed in any way to mean that the Government has adopted or contemplates adoption of the alleged invention disclosed in this application; nor is it any indication of the value of such invention.

I also have a copy of a real "Security Order" dated March 17, 1964, that was sent to a friend of mine who had applied for a patent in the field of space energy research. PB.]

I remember reading on Dr Stephen Greer's site that every single year about 5,000 patents are confiscated by US gov. for reasons of military secrecy. Possibly the most famous case was that all the Marconi's patents for radio transmission and reception were confiscated few years before WW2, because 1) he was Italian, so native of enemy's country, 2) because it was critical for US gov. to control communications in case of war. As a result Marcony nearly went bankrupt.

That's how RCA (Radio Corporation of America) was formed, to control all the intellectual property in communications and assure gov.'s monopoly in that field. It was one of the first tech. companies with main shareholder being US gov. RCA had total control over radio and later TV. Practically, no Hollywood star can maintain it's stardom if didn't remain on good terms with RCA. After screwing and financially destroying Philo Farnsworth, the inventor of TV from Utah, RCA's director famously said "RCA doesn't pay royalties. RCA collects royalties". RCA went bankrupt in late 50's because invention of transistor by Bell Labs.

Yeah, apparently, gov. communications control does wanders for freedom of the press.

DoD Inspector General to Evaluate Pentagon's Handling of UFOs
    ByTim Binnall

In an intriguing turn of events, the Inspector General for the Department of Defense has announced plans to conduct an evaluation of how the Pentagon has responded to the UFO phenomenon. The forthcoming endeavor was revealed in a memo issued by the oversight office on Monday and quickly caught the attention of UFO enthusiasts when word of the decision spread throughout the community on Tuesday morning. The announcement from the IG somewhat vaguely states that they intend to "determine the extent to which the DoD has taken actions regarding Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP)." The memo goes on to say that "we may revise the objective as the evaluation proceeds, and we will consider suggestions from management for additional or revised objectives."

Additionally, it indicates that "we will perform the evaluation at the Offices of the Secretary of Defense, Military Services, Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, Defense Agencies, and the Military Criminal Investigative Organizations." Receiving the memo were a myriad of high-ranking DoD personnel including the Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff as well as the directors of both the Defense Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency. As is so often the case when it comes to the UFO phenomenon and the United States government, this latest development brings with it far more questions than answers, including what exactly prompted the decision to launch an evaluation in the first place as well as what, if anything, might come of it.

While the IG's inquiry into the matter is seemingly separate from the forthcoming Pentagon report on UFOs, which is due to be released next month, there is some speculation that it may have been initiated due to a lack of transparency among different departments within the DoD when it comes to producing information for that investigation or perhaps for members of Congress looking into the phenomenon. Nonetheless, the decision by the DoD Inspector General to evaluate how the Pentagon has handled unidentified aerial phenomena has been met with considerable enthusiasm by UFO disclosure advocates since the office has both significant investigatory powers as well as the funds to carry out such endeavors.

"The Pentagon" should either nut up or shut up. When I picture them I see a little boy peeking out from behind the folds in his mothers skirt.

New video taken from USS Omaha shows spherical UFO splash into ocean off San Diego: Ex-fighter pilot says airmen saw unknown aircraft off Virginia coast EVERY DAY for years calling them a 'worrying security threat' ahead of new Pentagon report

Newly-released video from a US Navy destroyer shows the moment a spherical UFO plunges into the Pacific off the coast of San Diego, to the shock of watching crew members.

The object was filmed by a camera aboard the USS Omaha, with two unidentified crew members exclaiming: 'Wow, it splashed,' after the ball gradually flew into the sea, and disappeared underwater.

They filmed the object making a controlled flight above the water for an extended period of time before it finally entered the ocean. Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell shared the footage on Friday with Mystery Wire.

The video comes from the same incident that the outlet documented in April, when images with frames from the video were made public. Last month, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed one of them was recorded by US Navy personnel.

It was released the same day a US Navy pilot has also told of how he and his colleagues saw UFOs off the Virginia coast so regularly they grew used to the ultra-capable aircrafts' presence.

Former Navy Lieutenant Ryan Graves - who refers to UFOs as unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) - called them a threat to national security in an interview with 60 Minutes that will air on Sunday.

I wonder if all this is rolling towards something of a light disclosure. The Pentagon states that the UAP phenomenon is real and admits that is does spend some resources studying it in order to assess potential security threats. They also state that, at this time, UAP poses no known threat to the USA and the exact cause of it is unknown. Of course, they also state that they will not discuss or release anything that is classified or would pose a threat to national security if released. And no, we still won't talk about what goes on at A51. In other words, go back to the position they took in the 1950's.

Yeah, it's kind of funny! In '52, right after the Washington merry-go-round where objects flew over the US Capitol repeatedly, and were chased by jets, and simultaneously tracked by radar and seen by observers on the ground, the government is forced to have a press conference. Wherein it was stated that the objects are unknown but don't pose a security threat!!!!!
What a ridiculous and dishonest conclusion.

The footage here is aa recreation, but Truman admits to discussing UFOs at every conference he had with the military.
    Hardly something not taken seriously.

In fact it was taken SO seriously that:

From what I can see, Nelson would have been on the intelligence committees before 1986. So this would suggest that UFOs were still an intelligence issue and treated seriously before the current situation. Of course, as we all know. But not great for skeptics :)

Everyone has forgotten the leaked Podesta emails where the past head engineer at Wright Patterson was mentioned as helping to assemble a research team in conversations with Delonge. He was basically in Craigie's position, and probably knows what Craigie did.

Well as long as the Pentagon doesn't mention Swamp Gas , Temperature Inversions, Weather Balloons, Stars, Advertising Planes , Mass Hysteria and Mrs McGillicuddies giant cabbage leaves reflecting moonlight onto the clouds.

I had a Howard Hughes and the Unexplained on in the background yesterday. Howard does a great interview, period. This time it's over an hour with Lue Elizondo. I haven't heard all of it and to be honest, it didn't have my full attention but I kept cranking my head around saying 'huh....' .

In that setting he sounded more sincere and more believable than I've heard him before. He actually answered some of the questions I had about him intelligently. Yup, he's a spy but as he put it 'for America not against it' and that when he was using his skills on the battlefield nobody had a problem with him. It does sound like a serious clash of personalities within the organization he worked for.

I am not expecting much from this report and neither is he. Said that six months is insufficient time to generate a proper analysis and expects more in time. He said the one thing that will surprise people is the number and frequency of these encounters. There was another problem I had with this - why always US Navy ships on training missions in very specific areas ? If that isn't the case that's how it's been presented so we'll see.

I really (really really) would like to believe this guy but after decades of horses**t what he's said will have to be expanded on considerably before it's more generally accepted. A whistleblower. Well, he might just be what he has been saying all along. But damn, TTSA, Tom DeLonge, Jeremy Corbell..... ugh. He said he never met Bob Lazar and would have no objection to doing so but jesus, you lie down with dogs you wake up with fleas.

He does have excellent taste in motorcycles.

The idea that the Chinese or Russia have developed such devices is ridiculous.
Exactly!! This is a big step, and the beginning of the end for skeptics methinks! Chinese Drones... Hehehehe...

They REFUSE to listen to accounts from witnesses, and choose instead to ty and debunk photos and other evidence out of context. They are sure there is always a mundane explanation, being so complacent with the current paradigm and the magic powers of science. It's clear that many of them are poor magicians and not good scientists as far as that goes!
Their ignorance and fear has set us back 70 years. They should be ashamed.
