Might very well be! There is a thread on it, and examples in the article archive, here:It's odd that they should scare animals, but there are too many reports to ignore it. Perhaps there is some ultrasonic frequency they emit.

Yeah, that's the problem with a lot of skeptics; they don't address the cases where the object(s) are close enough or behave in ways at close range that eliminate mundane possibilities. There are conversions of skeptics in the old article database too.By the time I'd seen one for myself, I'd already read several books on the subject — Including The Report On Unidentified Flying Objects by Edward Ruppelt. My older brother and his wife introduced me to the subject after they had witnessed one in Calgary years before. So as soon as I saw the object I knew exactly what it was. This was not one of those cases where it could have been a misidentification of a manmade object or natural phenomenon. My main feelings were firstly excitement, then when it zipped away, I felt disappointed that I hadn't been given the chance to get a close-up look.
