thanks....but no surprises there.

Maybe you haven't seen this one the White Tailed spider it causes flesh rotting if it bites you.

Spider bite leaves man's leg rotting

One of these little devils bit me on the ear and put me in hospital for a week on a drip.

Waves can kill you in Australia, some of the most dangerous waves in the world are around Australian beaches...

A friend of mine was just bitten by one a few weeks back, he ended up in hospital for a fortnight.
Apparently it wasn't the bit that did the damage. But the spider has some nasty bacteria on its legs. They reckon it dragged a leg across the bite and infected it. Poor bugger nearly died from it. Ended up they had to cut out a golf ball sized chunk of infection from his back, then 2 weeks of antibiotics to fix whats left. They said had he not came in he would have had 24 hours. he was very bloody crook. Luckily,,OK now and back at work.

I have surfed Bells beach. I live about an hour from there. It is nuts. You walk down the beach once you reach the water line and it is like going down stairs. Freaky. I have only surfed about 2m which to me felt like a Tsunami, cant imaging the big stuff. Bells beach is an awesome but terrifying beach.

Yes mine was nowhere near as nasty as his . I was in hospital for a week on a drip . The left side of my face swelled up it was not very pleasant at all. I am not sure what they were pumping into me to get rid of the toxins but it made me want to rip the needle out of my hand, it felt like acid. Then they told me when you get bitten by one of them you can never really rid your body of the spider venom totally.

Wow, on your face.Lucky they didn't have to cut a chunk out like my friend. And yes I have heard the same about the reoccurring nature of the poison. Don't know if its true though.

I've surfed Baja California, Equador, and southern California in the last 80s and early 90s, the roughest was in California, a cyclone a couple hundred miles off the coast stirred up the waves, I was thrown off a 15ft wave, crashed into my surfboard, broke it in half when I hit it lol...

15" your brave, I always found it funny that from the beach, a 2m wave looked small, but when it bears down on you it always felt like 20m high. lol

There are about 3 snake deaths a year in Australia.

List of fatal snake bites in Australia - Wikipedia

There have been no confirmed deaths from spider bites since 1979.

There are about 3 shark deaths a year.

About 280 more or less drown each year.
I guess we just made it all up then. No nasties down here. Nothing to see.

Oh by the way CB, we only have less than 3 croc deaths a year down hear too.
Make sure you give me a ring if you ever come to OZ, I will recommend a couple of nice spots for you to swim. ;)
Only less than 3 per year, you should be fine.

Croc attacks: a new website with bite

Look, this bloke is playing catch with one. you'll be fine..I'll tell you where to swim.
I've heard most Northern rivers and oceans in OZ have playful ones like this.

Australians only have a 0.0000125% chance of being eaten by a croc any given year. That is almost negligible.

If you know what to do when a croc bites down it is even less.

I am sorry, but I just can't leave this alone.
This is a prime example of why you are utterly full of shit when it comes to your figures and how meaningless they are in the real world on so many levels. Most of Australia's population lives in or around cities. Not so many Crocs in the middle of the Darwin CBD!
Most folks living North are very well educated when it comes to crock safety, they have to be. Not many locals get eaten.
Often it is kids, tourists, or city folks that get eaten.
Did you know they used to pull 160 crocks out of Darwin harbor a year and relocate them. That's just the big ones.
I have been, and can take you places that the crocks are so prolific, they are sitting about on the banks like a bloody Tarzan Movie. Go swimming there CB and keep your statistics handy and show it to the crock as it bites down on you. Oh that's right you have a solution to that too. I will watch from the boat though if it is all the same to you.

Shark attacks. Our Surf life saving people and beach patrols are second to none. Most times a shark is spotted and the beaches cleared in good time. It is often a lone surfer at 6 am or a surfer on an un-patrolled beach that gets taken, not always, but often,

As for spider bites, you often have to be unlucky. Most times you put a boot on them, zap em with bug spray or relocate them long before they bite.

So STOP trying to be eddy the expert on everything in the world from your armchair back in expert city and undermining things you know jack shit about.

LOOK at the title f the thread, it says THINGS THAT CAN KILL YOU !!
Not Hey CB, here is a chance to google some stats to try and undermine yet another thread.
Only one thing worse than a keyboard Warrior.
An armchair expert.
You appear to be both.
