I'm just blown away that your friend managed to get a close-up pic of a fireball that only lasted for about three seconds - they must have reflexes like a rattlesnake!Today at 9:40 AM I spotted a fireball descending moving from North to south. It was visible for about 3 seconds. leaving an orange trail.
One of my friends got a pic that I post here. anyone else see this object?

hmmm that is indeed quite weird, @The shadow could your friend be pulling your leg?I'm just blown away that your friend managed to get a close-up pic of a fireball that only lasted for about three seconds - they must have reflexes like a rattlesnake!
well said the shadow!Living in Madison Wisconsin we have Tuax and the Dane County Airport. I am used to planes coming in and out.
what I saw was an orange glowing object leaving a orange trail.
Humanlord did suggest a reasonable explanation for what I saw and what my friend photographed. several factors give weight to the possibility.
1. no news reports on the object.
2. no reports on the UFO center or American meteor society
as for the duration of the sighting it could have been longer but to me it happened quickly.
The fact my friend photographed it.
and also thought it was a meteor is key.
so meteor satillte or just a plane that happened to catch the morning sun just right.
All are reasonable and valid possibilities.
All I know is I stand by what I saw.
as for it's identity that remains to be figured out.
Thats, why I posted it in an effort to understand what I saw. I am open to all possibilities.
I saw a couple smaller fireballs late last night because of the Perseid meteor shower that began and will continue for the next few days...
