At renn faire Samantha and Maria took 1st place and took home the platinum royal!
The two inseparable friends entered the Lincoln elementary school talent show.
Doing "my heart will go on." Samantha on the ocerina Maria singing. It was a song of great emotion and weight. During the performance I was swept away the vision of the goddess took me. I saw the future not a future but THE future. It's 8 years from now I'm old and so is Bob. The two are in highschool they are dancing they kiss. A second scene in older still they are married. A scene where they give me a child to hold. A final scene they kneel at the gravesite Bob and I bought I had gone to the Goddess." The vision and song ended I returned. Maria hugged Samantha. And oh yes they won!

Yesterday Ian posed for his senior yearbook. In a grey red tie and white shirt. In his lapel a flag pin. He wrote a dedication "Mom and Dad you are the best! Anna you are my future."

It's official! Megan and Kate signed to final adoption papers today welcome to the family Katlin Megan Watson Strickland ! I wept as I healed my granddaughter. Our future. Grandpa Josh also wept. A happy time for us!

Yesterday the letter from the UW Wisconsin arrived. We all gathered as Ian opened it. He started to laugh "I'm in!!" The first sentence was the number st important "congratulations! You have been accepted to the UW school of business for the September 2025 term!"
As we celebrated Ian's phone rant it was Anna.she had been accepted for the UW medical school! Party time!
My sons future is bright!

homecoming dance senior year so my boy is all but a man now. Anna is a wonderful woman. Gone is the bully. The kid who hid fireball in his locker gone is the girl that was so wounded that she pretended to be miley cyrus. The boy who sat looking at the stars ..dreams of his future life with the woman who will one day be his wife. Rikki and I face the day coming soon when he leaves the nest
But as I believe all children leave the nest sooner or later the joy is to watch them fly

With Debbie home for the holiday I had time to catch up with her. Unlike Kate she has not gotten any intern work. In her freshman year she launched a modeling career. She gave me the bottom line in October she made almost $7.5K. Debbie graduates in June. With a bachelors degree in computer science. So she has 3 choices.contunue to get her masters. Seek employment in the computer industry or continue with her modeling.. I'm terrible at life choices. I gave her advice. But really it's up to her. She is 23 . A job in computer tech can pay well. Same with her modeling. The bird flew the nest almost 4 years ago. Kate's journey is smooth. Hers a bit rough. But she knows I'm there for her
