This village was named after its deep trenches in which wolves were formerly capture. One day local villagers were amazed to see two very unusual children crawling out of one of these trenches. A girl and a slightly younger boy, they were both dressed in strange clothing and spoke an unintelligible language. But by far the most striking characteristic of these children was their skin color, which was green. Unable to communicate with them, and thoroughly perplexed as to what should be done, the villagers took the girl and boy, who were weeping and very forlorn to the home of Sir Richard de Calne a local landowner. Here they remained treated with great care and kindness by Sir Richard and his servants. But the boy fell ill and in less than a year he had died. Happily however the girl survived and as she grew older her skin’s green hue gradually disappeared. She eventually married a man from King’s Lynn in Norfolk, a senior ambassador of Henry II according to some sources, and became known as Agnes Barre. During her years in Sir Richard’s household, Agnes learned English and was eventually able to reveal something about where she and her brother had come from and the manner in which they had reached Woolpit. She claimed that they were from a Christian place called St. Martin’s Land, where it was always twilight (and also where according to one medieval chronicler of this story, everything was green), and which was separated from a much sunnier place by a wide river. One day while tending their father’s flocks in a field, Agnes and her brother had been led away by the sound of church bells into an underground realm, and then somehow found themselves in Woolpit.

Local peasants in this village located south of Moscow encountered a tall hairy humanoid entity (so-called wood goblin) in this legendary place near the banks of the River Moskva. The frightened locals quickly fled in terror. Other reports indicated that these giant hairy entities have been seen in this area on several occasions and for centuries and reputedly are able to slip into our realm from another dimension. Rumors indicated that there was a gateway or portal into another dimension in the area where large dolmens where located at the bottom of the Golosovyi gully. Decades later on there were reports of mysterious disappearances of residents in the nearby villages of Dyakovo and Sadovniki between 1825 and 1917.

Peter Rahm alleges that he and his wife were at their farm one evening late when there came a little man, swart of face and clad in gray, who begged the witness’s wife to come and help his wife then in labor. The witness, seeing that they had to do with a troll, prayed over his wife, blessed her, and bade her in God’s name go with the stranger. She seemed to have been borne away by the wind. The woman accepted no food in fairyland and was therefore returned unharmed.

According to Chippewa Indian lore some Indians were walking over the plains when they saw someone sitting on the grass. It was a man. When they approached, he halted them by raising his hand. “He said, I don’t belong here. I dropped from the above.” They wished to take him home with them. He told them to go home and clean the place where he was to stay. Then he would return with them. After they had done this, they came back for him. He was a nice-looking man, clean and shining bright. He stayed with them. “Every day at sundown, he watched the sky. In a clear voice he said, something will come down, I will go up.” He said he had been running in the sky. There was an open place; he couldn’t stop running, so he dropped through. One day in the afternoon he said, “Now it’s coming.” Everyone looked up but they could see nothing for a long time. The man who had kept the “Sky man” at his home could see better than the others. He saw a brilliant star shining way up in the sky. The other Indians didn’t see it until it came near the ground. They had never seen anything nicer in the world. Two men got a hold of it and pulled it down. The “sky-man” got into it. Then it rose and he was gone. They had tried to get him to stay but he said that he must go.

Respected local artisan, Alberto Gordoni was walking in the castle’s yard when he suddenly disappeared in plain sight, before the eyes of his stunned wife and other witnesses, including the Duke of Zenini and other fellow countrymen. The stunned witnesses immediately dug around the area but failed to find any tract of Gordoni or hollow pits where he could had fallen into. 22-years later (!) Gordoni appeared back at the very place where he had disappeared---in the dominion’s yard. Alberto himself claimed that he had not disappeared at all, so he was then immediately taken to a rest home for the “feeble minded”. 7-years later the doctor, Father Mario spoke with Alberto there. He understood that somehow Alberto felt that a short time had only elapsed between his disappearance and appearance. Alberto told Father Mario that on that fateful day he had suddenly found himself in something like a tunnel and walked along the tunnel toward a vague white light. He did not see any familiar objects there only “weird mechanisms” totally unknown and unrecognizable to him. Alberto then saw something that looked like a large canvas all covered with stars and “dots” which seemed to pulsate independently. There he also encountered a tall thin human-like figure with long hair, probably a female. The entity told him that he had fallen into a “cleft” (fissure, crack) of “time and space” and it will be very difficult to deliver him back. While Alberto waited for his return, begging the strange entity to “send him back”, Alberto was told about “holes opening up in the darkness” and about “white drops” and “thoughts that move with the speed of light” she also told him about “souls without flesh and body” and bodies without souls, about flying cities, where eternally young entities dwell. Doctor Mario was convinced by the witness story, realizing that Alberto had not lied. So he took Alberto back to Takoni, to the location where it had occurred. Incredibly, Alberto took one step at the location and again disappeared in plain sight, this time forever. He was never found. Father Mario crossed himself and ordered the location fenced in calling it “The Trap of the Devil”. Apparently within that “trap” time and space flowed at a very much slower pace that than on Earth or in our dimension.

A local woman named Rhona was sitting in her garden knitting when she heard a rustling of the leaves. Thinking of her sweetheart she pretended not to have heard. Then came a tiny laugh and a tinkling sound from her rose arbor. Looking up she spied six handsome little men dressed in green from head to toe, except, that is for a red feather in their caps. Rhona extended her hand to the group and each in turn alighted on her offered palm. Becoming totally delighted with them she favored the six with every courtesy. Suddenly and without warning one of the fairies touched his fingers to her eyes, plunging her into darkness. In this state of total blackness she experienced herself moving through what could only be time and space, But this was more than a three-dimensional flight. Rhona’s flight had taken her through a fourth dimension. After what seemed like only a few moments, Rhona felt her feet touch the ground. Opening her eyes she found herself in the most beautiful and wondrous place she had ever seen. Into her vision came lush trees, brilliantly colored song birds, flower gardens and castle of every description shining forth in gold and silver. Each castle in turn shimmered with diamonds, garnets, pearls and emeralds. Along the streets were magnificently clad little people promenading, resting, dancing and indulging in favorite pastimes. Now, Rhona who noted that she was clad in the same fine manner as everyone else had also become the same size as everyone else. She immediately thought that she could stay there forever but all at once Rhona was once again plunged into darkness, whisked through the air and dropped safely onto the floor of her rose arbor, where a group of people had gathered concerned over her absence. It is said that for the rest of her life, Rhona was guarded by the fairies that nourished her with fairy food. At one point local authorities imprisoned Rhona and refused to feed her, but this did not effect Rhona at all, for she was fed daily by the fairies during her enclosure.

Two local peasants (possibly slightly inebriated) were returning to their village south of present day Moscow on the banks of the River Moskva when they decided to take a short cut through the bottom of a deep gully. Unexpectedly as both men walked between two huge stones they fell down some kind of corridor apparently into some parallel reality or world. There they saw large hairy humanoid entities that communicated with them and explained to them that they had indeed slipped into another dimensional space and that it would be difficult for them to return back to their plane, but they would attempt to assist the men in doing just that. After some time both peasants found themselves back in the gully and immediately ran to their village but to their surprise more than 20 years had gone by since they had initially disappeared. Luckily some of their relatives still remained in the village and remembered them. The men thought that they had only been gone no more than one day. The police intervened in the manner and interrogated the men, incredibly while being interview in front of the police and other local citizens one of the men suddenly disappeared without a trace. The second man fell into a deep depression after seeing his friend disappear and later committed suicide.

John M. White and other witnesses reportedly saw a strange “mirage” of a mysterious city at this location 150 miles north of Juneau. White declares that he studied the mirage for nine hours through a powerful glass as it was spread above the glacier on the side of Mount Fairweather. He affirms that they city is walled; that its houses are battlemented and the chimneys surmounted by chimney pots; that within the walls there is a tall monument surmounted by the sculptured figure of an Indian in full headdress and feathers. His glass revealed to him some of the inhabitants, men in knee breeches and jackets. The only beast visible was a donkey-like creature, with a body as large as that of a horse. The mirage appeared at first about 1130am as a mist, and out of this rose the towers and battlements of the city as did those of ancient Troy. By noon the city was as clearly outlined as New York is from the Jersey heights. Mr. White rejects the various guesses that the phantom city is Antwerp, Montreal or Salt Lake City. Its architecture is unlike that of any other city he has seen. That is a real city he is certain from the fact that he has seen three photographs taken of the mirage, one of which shows a tower rising amid the houses and a later one the same tower finished. He believes that it is a mirage of a city at the North Pole on the edge of the traditional open polar sea. He believes that when the sun is at its highest northern point, as it was on June 21, the miracle of the arctic metropolis is reflected to the point where it appears over the Muir Glacier. The legend of the Chilcats of Alaska supports this theory. They say that many centuries ago, when Alaska was a warm and densely peopled country, there came from the north through the ice barrier a savage people fully armed who laid waste to the region and put its inhabitants to the sword. These savage warriors he believes to have been the ancestors of the American Indians, and he is convinced that in coming through the ice barriers they left behind a warm region about the pole, where the remnant of their people continued to develop and at length built the metropolis seen on St. Johns day in mirage above the Muir Glacier.

Helene Smith reported rising at 615am and feeling an invisible arm clasp itself about her waist. “I then saw myself surrounded by a rose-colored light which generally shows itself when a Martian vision is coming,” she said. She found herself suddenly in “a section of country peopled by men altogether different from those who inhabit our globe. The tallest of all were three feet high, and the majority was an inch or two shorter. Their hands were immense, about ten inches long by eight inches broad; they were ornamented with very long black nails. Their feet were also of great size.” According to Smith the little men resided in simples houses “all low, long, without windows or doors; and each house had a little tunnel about ten feet long running from it into the earth. The roofs were flat, supplied with chimneys or tubes.”

Sainte Miande, near Toulouse, France

When a freak storm lashed the Gulf of Lyon and the inland villages were battered by winds of ferocious force, a farmer on the outskirts of the village was awakened by an insistent tapping on the window of his downstairs bedroom. At first he dismissed it as the wind rapping a twig on to the glass but finally he got up and went to the door with a lantern. A strange sight met his eyes. In the doorway stood a boy, aged about ten, wrapped in a piece of sacking. His hair was long and yellow---quite unlike that of the local boys---and his face almost luminously pale. He appeared to have no clothes apart from the sack and as he stretched out his arms towards the light, the farmer noticed that there were only three fingers on each of his long slender hands. As he stood there uncertain of what to do, his wife’s voice roused him into action. She had come from the bedroom taken one look at the strange tableau and told her husband to bring the child into the house. She roused the fire in the kitchen, placed the shivering boy before it and covered him with a blanket. He slept the night on a mattress in front of the fire. In the morning the couple found him some clothes belonging to the oldest son, but it was soon apparent that he didn’t know how to put them on. At first the farmer took him for some dumb waif, a simpleton, even but it soon became apparent that he could speak, but in a language they had never heard before. Even the most commonplace things appeared to astonish him. He was bewildered by a cup containing warm milk, and had to be shown how to drink from it. A knife and fork were complete mysteries. When a farm cat strolled through the door the boy backed away, apparently in fright. The farmer and his wife, totally bemused by their uninvited guest, told the story to the village priest, Father Rene Mouville, a retired Lyons University professor who had entered the priesthood at the age of fifty. Once the priest met the boy he knew there was no obvious solution. The child was quite unlike any human he had seen before. Even the construction of his body seemed, exceptional: his hips were extremely narrow and his rib-cage almost an inverted V-shape, quite the opposite to a normal chest structure. Just looking at those delicate, three fingered hands made the priest feel a strange sense of foreboding. The next day he took the child back to his house to be cared for by his housekeeper. He soon found that the boy had a fantastic intelligence. Unable to communicate by any form of language, Father Mouville began by drawing simple diagrams of everyday objects, which received no response. Then one day he wrote down a series of numbers in the form of clustered dots. Immediately the boy took the paper and pencil and began writing dots at high speed. When he passed back the paper, Father Mouville found that he had worked out the cube root and square roots of all the groups of numbers. As the weeks passed the boy’s confidence grew. He began to master simple words, and to go out with the priest on his rounds. He began to be accepted in the village as almost ordinary instead of a curiosity. Basic physical phenomena fascinated him. He would sit for hours by moving water or watching birds in flight and the movement of clouds. It was as though he had never seen such things before. Then after Christmas, 1900, he became ill. At first the symptoms seemed but hose of a heavy cold, and after a few weeks he seemed to have recovered. But by February he was sick again, this time with a high fever and a deathly pallor. A doctor was sent for and confessed himself mystified. The child’s hear was the slowest he had ever heard, almost half the speed of a normal human. He should be taken to a hospital, but in his condition such a journey could well have been fatal. So the boy who came from nowhere became weaker and on the second week of March he died and was buried under an ash tree in the graveyard of Sainte Miande.

Mr. V. Dychkin and his friend were driving during a snowy night in separate sledges along the banks of the river. Dychkin's friend was driving ahead and he was following him. Suddenly they encountered two "strangers" standing alongside of the road, and Dychkin invited them to seat on the sledges. The two strange looking men convinced Dychkin not to continue home because of the storm, but to turn to the nearest town and spend the night there. Though Dychkin knew that there weren't any towns in the area, he drove against his will in the direction where the men told him. One of the men then pointed and yelled out, "Look, there is the town!" Dychkin looked and to his amazement saw a beautiful scene; something resembling a huge strange "city" was located on a flat plateau, illuminated by thousands of lights. The lights were positioned in a "fantastic" arrangement; he had never seen anything like it. Convinced in the reality of his vision Dychkin turned in the direction of the lights without hesitation. His companion followed and soon approached him. Suddenly both men were seized by incredible fear and rushed towards the road, never seeing where the two strangers had gone. Dychkin looked back in the direction of the lights but was surprised to see only the night gloom and darkness.

While hoboing across the country Mike Childers spent what he thought was a night in the woods near Tehachapi. When he awoke and set off on his way, he discovered that the year was 1934 and America had passed into the Great Depression. Childer made a small media splash as a modern day Rip Van Winkle but was never able to discover what happened to the fifteen years he'd lost. It wasn't until 1990 that the decrepit Childers began to have nightmares that hinted at forgotten memories. Having seen Dr. Denton Schaeffer on a tabloid talk show about repressed memories, he mailed Schaeffer a description of his experience and dreams (along with his collection of journal articles and news clippings about him from the mid-1930's). Schaeffer interviewed and hypnotized Childers on thirty occasions before Childer's death in 1995 and was able to uncover a vivid tapestry of dark and horrifying memories in which Childers was taken beneath the ground by chattering alien creatures who surgically removed his brain and transported him to alien realms. The most disturbing part of this case is the medical evidence that Childers was subjected to extensive and inexplicable cranial surgery sometime during the 1920's.

A group of teenagers, the so-caller pioneers (boy-scouts) suddenly stumbled upon a 2.5m tall humanoid entity completely covered by dark dense hair or fur that was doing something in a fruit garden. The brave pioneers decided that the entity was intent in stealing fruit (apples) so they tried to approach and catch the strange creature, but the hairy visitor escaped and disappeared, like dissolved into thin air right in front of the stunned teenagers. This type of entity has been seen in this area for hundreds of years and the place is reputed to bee some type of portal or gateway into another dimension.

A man walking along a country road sighted a huge dome shaped structure on a field across from him. As he watched several glass-like doors seemed to open and shut. The witness approached the object and saw several men in silvery suits apparently working around the object. One saw him and was heard to say, “How did he get here”? “His clothes are at least 100 years old”? Two of the men then seized him and dragged him inside the object. He managed to break away and ran through some doors. He ran for a while, turned around and the craft had disappeared.

The daughter of a retired KGB officer reported that during the summer 1980 while the Olympic games were taking place in Moscow, her father had returned from the games in a very nervous and excited state, carrying a box of vodka, and several Western articles including different types of cigarettes, which included Newport Menthols. She was surprised since her father never smoked. After downing a couple of shots of vodka, he told her that back in 1946 while he had been an internal affairs officer in the city of Sobinka one day some soldiers brought him a strange person who appeared to be in shock and could not speak and could only look around him as if stunned. After being searched it was found that he carried a number of enigmatic documents and items with him, he had a “Western” style lighter, and strange cigarettes with the an unheard brand called “Newport menthols”, he carried some sort of identification in two languages, Russian and English that gave his name as Pokrowski, date of birth 3-1-1972, in Murmansk, with a document date of 2008 good up to 2009, the officer was in shock as he saw a color photograph of the stranger, under the photo it stated that he was a resident of the NATO occupational area Norwegian Zone. At first they thought the stranger was a spy but they were not sure, they called the district branch of the military police but soon received a call directly from Moscow that stated that the stranger should be sent directly to Moscow without any further ado. He was soon picked up by secret agents from Moscow and the KGB officer did not see the stranger again. A few days later he was made to sign a sworn statement that he should never reveal any details of what had occurred. Years later after almost having forgotten the strange incident, the witness was strolling along the Olympic Village in Moscow when he came upon a Western style kiosk with several cartons of Newport menthol cigarettes.

8-year old Sidney Brighton was suddenly awakened in the middle of the night. He looked to the bottom of the bed and there he saw the heads and shoulders of six or seven people, closely grouped together, all facing in his direction. The figures seemed to be floating and he could not see the rest of their bodies. The witness was frightened as the figures stared straight ahead; two in the middle looked directly at him and seemed to be speaking into each other’s ears. He tried to wake up his elder brother, but no even a sharp nudge had any effect. He covered his face with the sheets, but after awhile felt compelled to look again. They were still there, only this time one of them raised a hand to his face and made a motion rather like a dart-throwing action. Then they all grouped together, moved slightly to the left and began spinning around and around until they became a blur and disappeared.

17-year old shepherd Lucas del Pozo was guarding his family watermelon patch when he suddenly noticed what appeared to be a “whirlwind” appeared within the patch. The dust or dirt covered the whole field and the witness feared that the crop had been lost. As he approached the field he was surprised to see a large metallic bowl-shaped object sitting in the middle of the field that seemed to have come out of nowhere. From the object a short humanoid figure with long dangling arms and short legs emerged. The humanoid had small beady black eyes; slick back black hair that appeared glued to his head, small fingers, and moved around in strangely coordinated moves. It wore a very tight-fitting mustard colored coverall. Afraid the witness fled the area and did not see the humanoid or object depart.

Gregorio Martin Dominguez had been transporting a load of wine through some fields and had stopped for a brief rest. Suddenly he heard some strange music and concerned hid behind some trees. It sounded like different types of instruments and whatever it was appeared to be approaching his location. Seconds later several strange figures appear next to the river, there were six to eight figures that appeared to be engaged in a frenetic dance. They had very pale facial features and were wearing brilliant white clothing. Moments later the figures formed a circle and another individual dressed in the same manner and with long thin pale facial features began manipulating what appeared to have been a square panel-like device, from which the music and sounds appear to emanate. At this point bright flashing lights also reflected from the device. Nervous, Dominguez made a sudden move making a slight noise; this caused the figures to stop dead in their tracks. Scared and amazed he watched as the strange group disappeared in plain sight, to his great relief.
