Russia's decision to strip tanks and heavy military hardware from its Victory Day parade suggests Ukraine may now hold the upper hand in the war, according to experts.

The scaled back May 9 event in Red Square marks a significant departure from the traditional display of military strength, coming more than four years into a conflict that has killed hundreds of thousands and drained economic resources.

In recent months, Kyiv has intensified long range strikes on energy and military infrastructure far behind the front lines, with waves of drones regularly launched towards Moscow.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the changes were driven by security concerns, telling reporters: 'Against the backdrop of this terrorist threat, every measure is being taken to minimise the danger.'

However, analysts believe the real reason goes beyond safety fears, reflecting a deeper strain on Russia's military as Ukraine steps up its offensive.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keir Giles of Chatham House said the move is likely linked to difficulties on the battlefield.

'Putin hasn't described the real reason for a decision like that, but we can guess that this is due to any one of a number of reasons all to do with the pressure that Russia is under trying to prosecute its war against Ukraine.'

He added that heavy losses may be limiting Russia's ability to stage a full scale display.

'That could mean simply the shortage of military units that some commentators have suggested is a result of the massive casualty toll that the meat grinder has taken on Russia's forces. Entailing a lack of ability to mount a parade at all.'

'There are no explanations for what Putin has done that do not one way or another come down to Russia's inability to defeat Ukraine.'

DT was doing such a great job on US economy, stock market was rising, inflation was in check, So much so that DT's arch enemy CNN wrote a full editorial about how good economy was doing.

And then DT made the worst error in judgement of his carrier, and now his narcisoidan ego is digging himself deeper, and deeper. Iranians are fighting back and destroying US strategic assets which DT's media is trying to hide: Which is the worst DT is creating a world wide recession which didn't need to be here at all.

Iranians destroyed so many strategic assets in region that they forced DT to negotiate.

The world's biggest arms manufacturer with bases in some of the wealthiest countries on the planet shouldn't have too much of a problem rebuilding all that. Iran on the other hand, can't rebuild much of anything and will be under close observation in perpetuity. I think they'll probably give the blockade more time.

Today I have to fill up one of my old cars on Premium 93 @ about $5/gallon and you know what? I don't care really because I don't have the energy to get worked up over whatever the crisis du jour is, legitimate or not. Mainstream media has been screaming that the sky is fallingfor for so long I stopped listening.

Trump set to lift US sanctions on Iran, free billions and unlock uranium enrichment in unexpected Obama-style peace proposal​

Donald Trump is on the verge of securing a sweeping peace deal with Iran that would lift US sanctions, free billions in frozen assets and open a path to uranium enrichment, mirroring the Barack Obama pact he spent years trashing.

A one-page, 14-point memorandum of understanding is being negotiated between senior Iranian officials and Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The White House believes the memo could finalize a framework to end the war within 48 hours.

If signed, a 30-day window would open for both countries to negotiate a larger agreement covering the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of all US sanctions on Iran, and new limits on its nuclear program.

The deal calls for Iran to halt all uranium enrichment for 12 to 15 years with automatic extensions if Tehran violates the terms, according to Axios.

Another key provision would have the regime remove its highly enriched uranium stockpile from the country, though the memo does not specify a destination.

Trump has been at pains to avoid anything resembling the 2015 Obama deal he spent years trashing as the 'worst deal ever.' But the emerging framework echoes it in striking ways: sanctions lifted, frozen billions released and Iran capped at the same 3.67 percent enrichment level agreed to by Obama.

Oil prices plunged on news of the proposed deal with Brent crude, the global benchmark, falling by more than 10 percent to below $100 per barrel. Stock futures tied to the Dow rose 1.1 percent, S&P 500 futures surged 0.9 percent, while Nasdaq futures climbed 1.6 percent.

The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.

So the UAE and Saudi Arabia participated in the strikes on Iran and we're just hearing about it now. Curiouser and curiouser.

Apparently the Charles de Gaulle has transited the Red Sea without anyone firing on it which is also very telling. Makes me wonder if someone got paid off and what exactly those sneaky Frenchmen have in mind. Probably very little of consequence although once in a while they surprise me. Certainly they're not shooting up small boat swarms with alacrity or anything, instead they're probably smoking unfiltered cigarettes and eating baguettes discussing cinema and how to further reduce that troublesome 35 hour work week.

Meanwhile, we sent a message. I'm not sure exactly to who about what but this doesn't happen very often at all. Russia likes to rattle its nuclear sabre and has done so many times in the past four years. I guess this is a reminder that we have one too and its very sharp.

Yeah, and all that gets ignored for the most part. Hamas also interfered with food delivery and created a crisis. I can understand those who hate Israel, some have good reason to but the press being complicit with this makes me want to vomit.

Doing things like this all comes down to hating Donald Trump, it has literally been weaponized starting with that ludicrous Steele report. The Pope hates Trump as evidenced by what he's written well before he became the Holy See and the optics on this are very bad no matter what they say in MSM. The things people attempt to justify in that light are literally insane. Hate him too all you want but give good reason, don't invent shit to do it with. Unfortunately that seems to be the major plank in the current Democratic party. Obstruction at any cost.
