South Korea scrambles jets as China, Russia warplanes enter air defense zone

South Korea’s military scrambled its jets after two Chinese and six Russian warplanes entered its air defense identification zone (KADIZ) without warning early Wednesday morning.

Two Chinese H-6 bombers first crossed the air defense zone shortly before 5:50 am and proceeded to repeatedly fly over the KADIZ boundaries off of South Korea’s southern and northeast coasts the Joint Chief of Staff said, according to Seoul based news outlet Yonhap.

After leaving South Korea’s KADIZ around 7 a.m., the two Chinese bombers returned some five hours later with Russian warplanes, including 4 TU-95 bombers and 2 SU-35 fighters, and flew over Seoul’s air defense identification zone through the Sea of Japan around 12:20 p.m.

The planes reportedly left the South Korean KADIZ less than 20 minutes later.

South Korea responded to the aggression by deploying an indeterminate number of aircraft, including F-15K jets, in a precautionary move officials said.

"Our military dispatched air force fighter jets ahead of the Chinese and Russian aircraft's entry of the KADIZ to implement tactical measures in preparation for a potential contingency," the Joint Chief of Staff said in a statement according to a Reuters report.

South Korea's military said that despite crossing its defense identification zone the foreign aircraft did not violate Seoul’s territorial airspace.

An air defense identification zone is not considered to be part of a nation’s airspace – which is any airspace above its territory or its territorial waters – but instead acts as a buffer zone where countries require foreign aircraft to identify themselves to prevent accidental incidents.

Old recipe. When you do it all is well, when the other guy does it he's a monster.

Can say the above statement is so on the money that this trait was with us when we were covered with hair and non erectus.

My guess is it will remain with and beyond us.

Homo woke inverticus, the new breed, are meat and drink to the red bloods.

There you are BBC now confirms that wiping out civilian infrastructure of small countries during a war is not war crime, since US and Britain might need to do it again. So, its OK if Russians do it as well.
So, Ukrainians can go to hell and freeze over the next three months. Its not a war crime. Tough luck.

Funny story from WWII. Germans started bombing British cities first during the Blitz. And German politicians were justifying it left and right. Then when British took upper hand and started flattening German cities with night air raides consisting of up to 1,000 bomber in one go, then German press started crying how inhuman it was.

Don't fret Dejan many who have lived the good life in countries like ours tend to not give those who live in hell or shit holes, ( which ever takes your fancy) much thought. I don't even though I'm trying to, it doesn't come naturally to many.

Life's worth is a big problem as it doesn't matter if one pretends equality is now screening at a cinema near you, it's Hollywood style conditioning and not a reality. Not to say I disagree with the concept but it has to come from within to work and we haven't arrived yet.

I know you dislike my style which is fine but I have seen you display this fault on a few occasions which is also fine, some just own it and others attempt to bury it.

Truth be told a life doesn't always equal another's and that is one of the reasons we have religious back drops to set the scene for our collective goal.
You are just being real.

What a lot of British and American commentators fail to realize is that we forfeited our credibility on the criticism of wars of aggression with our invasion of Iraq in 2003. We have none in commenting on Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Outside a small number of western-aligned nations, none of the other countries of the world seem to care one jot what is happening in Ukraine, and can't be persuaded to by the American or British governments, their patent lack of credibility likely having a lot to do with it. They certainly haven't forgotten what we did with Iraq. Many are simply content that the west's rejection of Russian oil is providing them with greatly marked-down supplies.

The hastily departure out of Afghanistan and the way it all went down, leaving behind western citizens, allied citizens, and state of the art military hardware has also greatly diminished American credibility in the world...

Thank you Dejan, used to be the so liberal and open it some times makes me feel like a hypocrit but if life has taught me one lesson it's just how false many wish to be in order to make the fit.

Maybe my journey would have been smoother if I'd have polished it out and put a face on but I'm so good looking I just couldn't swap it out. Lol ( joking, with a bucket hat and in a low light I resemble Freddy Kruger).

US Air Force unveils B-21 Raider - dubbed the 'most advanced military aircraft ever built' - with cutting-edge stealth jets costing $750 million apiece

Pentagon officials and representatives of contractor Northrop Grumman revealed the B-21 Raider at a dramatic ceremony in Palmdale, California on Friday night. As a crew drew back the tarp covering the sophisticated bomber, a cheer went up from the crowd of invited guests, excited to get the first glimpse of the plane after years of anticipation. Similar in shape to the B-2, a 'flying wing' design already in the Air Force's inventory, the B-21 will also be able to deliver nuclear weapons around the world because of long-range and mid-air refueling capabilities.

Where are the 100k+ of Ukrainian and Russian soldiers bodies? Where is all the thousands of wrecked military equipment officially reported by Ukraine? That’s a lot of stuff to hide in a country smaller than Texas.

Biden launches investigation into how 82% of components found in drones made in Iran, deployed by Russia and downed in Ukraine are manufactured in AMERICA

Despite strict export controls in place to prevent Iran from obtaining such materials, evidence has emerged that Tehran is finding more than enough commercially-available tech - including US-made microelectronics - to manufacture the drones. UK-based investigative organization Conflict Armament Research found last month that, upon examining drones downed in Ukraine, 82 percent of their components were made by companies in the United States. In response, the White House has now launched an 'all hands on deck' task force involving agencies from across Washington - including the departments of Defense, State, Justice, Commerce and Treasury.

Putin 'ready for peace talks': Russian leader tells state TV he is 'prepared to negotiate' an end Ukraine war - as one of his ex-commanders slams 'stupid stubbornness' of Kremlin's war strategy

Vladimir Putin claimed today that he is willing to hold talks with Ukraine - as an ex Russian spy and military commander has slammed the 'stupid stubbornness' of his war leaders and said any hope for success in the Donbas is 'ephemeral'.

In an interview with state television about the war in Ukraine, excerpts of which were released today, Putin said that Russia is 'prepared to negotiate about acceptable solutions'.

Contrary to the Russian president's comments, the Kremlin has been ramping up its attacks on the south and east of the country over the Christmas period - a clear sign that peace isn't imminent.

Igor Girkin, a former FSB officer who led fighting in Donbas in 2014 and is now a self-styled 'war blogger', decried Russia's latest war efforts in the area, which he believes are likely to end in major losses.

BlackRock reaches deal with Zelensky to finance the “rebuilding” of Ukraine

A readout from the Ukrainian president’s official website said Zelenskyy and Fink had “agreed to focus in the near term on coordinating the efforts of all potential investors and participants in the reconstruction of our country, channelling investment into the most relevant and impactful sectors of the Ukrainian economy.”

BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory and the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy signed a memorandum of understanding in November, after Fink and Zelenskyy met in September to discuss driving public and private investments into Ukraine to rebuild the country after Russia’s highly destructive invasion. BlackRock, one of the world’s largest investment managers, has been providing “advisory support for designing an investment framework, with a goal of creating opportunities for both public and private investors to participate in the future reconstruction and recovery of the Ukrainian economy,” the company said in a statement last month. BlackRock had no further statement at this stage.

Zelenskyy last week visited Washington, D.C., to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden and deliver an address to Congress, as the U.S. House of Representatives gave final approval on Friday to a $45 billion aid package for Ukraine.

Ex-Marine pilot who renounced US citizenship to become Australian will be extradited to America after training CHINESE aviators to land on aircraft carriers, court documents claim

A former US Marine who renounced his American citizenship faces extradition from Australia to face federal charges that he illegally trained Chinese military pilots to land on aircraft carriers.

Daniel Edmund Duggan, 54, who was arrested in Australia in October and remains in custody, is accused of money laundering and breaking US arms control laws, according to a 2017 federal indictment unsealed last month.

Last week, the Australian Attorney-General's Department said it had approved a request from US authorities to extradite Duggan to face charges in the District of Columbia.

However, Duggan's attorney has previously indicated he plans to fight extradition, and the matter will come before an Australian judge next week.

Duggan, who reached the rank of major, flew Harrier jets in the US Marines before leaving the armed forces and moving to Australia, where he set up a company offering 'adventure flights'.

.... I do wonder what will come out in the wash in a few years about the Bidens, the meddling in Ukraine, all that. These things take time but usually eventually come to light.

"Taking into account the appeal of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, I instruct the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation to introduce a ceasefire regime along the entire line of contact of the parties in Ukraine from 12.00 on January 6, 2023 to 24.00 on January 7, 2023," Putin said in the order.
