Be safe I see the storm hitting you, it's crazy weather!...
Its a warzone outside. Trees down everywhere, I've lost power and the roads are impassable. This is what I call a storm.

It's dropping below freezing at night again...
In the DC area the "bomb cyclone" took off shingles and other home pieces (neighbor lost a downspout).
Numerous trees dropped into the roads along with street lights and traffic light poles. Saw signal light set in Germantown twisted 45°.
Power was out in a number of places and a number of signal lights were off even in places that had power.
Weird seeing what was effectively a hurricane with no precipitation (we had gusts to 70 mph.)
Schools and the Fed Gov were closed so traffic was ok.
That's just because of the storm that came though. Things will rebound again soon. When a big Nor'easter comes through it funnels down cold air from the north because of the way the storm circulates.
Two rivers in North Carolina are at a record low.

Well I see in the forecast there's a prediction 10 days from now of an ice storm lasting almost 3 days...
We shall see, yesterday I bought another propane heater just in case this happens...
Rain the last two days here in LA. I haven't seen any news about disastrous mudslides in Santa Barbara.
Areas in the burnt regions were under mandatory evacuation orders for the current rain storm. The people killed in the major mudslide in SB were under evacuation orders. I imagine if people ignore the orders it releases the city of liability because they were officially warned.Wasn't the area of Santa Barbara evacuated?....
