It's raining here in LA and will continue through Thanksgiving. The forecast has another storm moving in next week.

About 4" of ice baby, ice .... and still counting. Joy.

Makes me want an Army surplus flamethrower to clear the driveway

    Old man bitching.

In a blatant reelection bid our town highway superintendent rushed through getting several roads paved including the one I live on. Normally I wouldn't complain but they must be billing for extra materials because they put in whopping big asphalt curbs like anti-tank barriers. Net result is all that nice road salt used to wash down my driveway and now doesn't, plus the plow truck drivers can't get near the curb for fear of destroying the blade so the road is noticeably narrower. The mailman (mail lady, actually) can't get to our mailboxes. The mechanical arm on the garbage truck can't reach the cans because of the snow buildup - and this was with a measly 6" - admittedly with a lot of ice. And we all have a giant frozen mess to dig out around that curb.

Talk about installing a problem to solve a problem I wasn't having.

He lost the election - I'd like to think if it was by one vote it was mine.

Very weird yesterday. Been in the high 30s and raining. Got all dark and sort of orange all of a sudden and then we had bursts of marble sized hail. In the middle of all that a thunder & lightning storm. Freaky.

Normal weather for us lately here in North Carolina, low 30s at night and low 50s during the day...As long as we don't get an ice storm this month, which occurs once in a while, this will be a calm winter for us...

It's been raining for over 30 hours thus far, with short breaks but geez what if it was cold enough to snow...That would have been disastrous for us had it been all snow and with that in mind I'm kind of glad it has been all rain...

We have a band of severe storms heading my way moving from west to east, its been rampaging through the south and reaching as far north as the great lakes...The winds have picked up considerably here already and its still a bit far from me yet, its due to hit me in about six hours...

Over two hours later and that storm should be reaching me soon, we already have tornado warnings and hail warnings...We rarely get tornadoes where I live, but we do get big hail sometimes, now further east towards the cities they get tornadoes there, I'm on a higher elevation which I think that helps too...
