A storm should reach NYC by this afternoon. I have a package coming in, but it should arrive before the snow does.

Yup. Snow starts after dinner tonight. I’m home by 4:30 and will hunker down. I’ll take the time to make cooing soft comforting noises to the snow thrower. It’s my best buddy right now

Yep you all are getting the storm that's been passing over my area...Its all turned to rain here now, what ice and snow fallen has turned to water, but the temperature here isn't much above freezing so I think all of this will freeze over tonight...

It appears that concern about the storm has jammed up the Weather Channel website. It won't load.

What about the Accuweather site?...I generally don't go to the Weather Channel site, too many ads...

I use an Ad-blocker. Anyway, it's up again. It's supposed to stay a little above freezing for many hours. Hopefully that will limit accumulation.

Garage door rolled up a little while ago and it's an Arctic whiteout, maybe 20 degrees with the wind howling. Easily 18" of snow out there - forgot the gaiters and its waaaay over my Muck boot tops so I got soggy socks.

We may have an RV session this morning and after that it'll be 2-3 hours out there clearing snow, making poopy trails out back for little girl dog. Joy.

Yesterday we began with freezing rain that turned to ice but then later it turned to rain and melted all the ice...Today everything is just all wet and it's foggy and cold outside...Took Kobi for a short walk outside when I drove in town to Subway to get a steak and cheese sub in the drive-thru...

I heard months ago that we haven't had rain in something like 150 days in Los Angeles. We're probably near 200 now.

Looks like we may be getting some snow after all a little later tonight, it's heading my way from the west and temperatures are dropping fast...We won't have temperatures above freezing again until Saturday or Sunday...

We had a thunder storm with heavy rain last night and it's still raining. First good rain in eight months.

Looks like a rainy last day of this year, not cold enough to snow and more rain coming this weekend...

We had 18" of snow and then on Xmas day it was 65 degrees. The snow vanished and the world turned to pudding. I just pulled an unintentional maneuver sliding down the hill out back on one foot with the dog pulling me that I don't think Lindsay Vonn could do. Not sure how that ended well but it did.

Big snow storm (for my area) coming in tonight with 6 to 10 inches of snow forecast and ice to follow...I have all the supplies I need and power backups if we lose grid power...My propane heaters don't need A.C. power to run so I can heat the house fine without grid power too...When we get snows like this one coming it takes them about two days afterwards to get the roads plowed in my area...The county is very slow and doesn't have many plow trucks, they sometimes contract some of the road plowing to private people or businesses that has the trucks and plows that can do the work...

So much for the heavy snowfall, it's rained most of the morning and now past 1500 in the afternoon finally seeing some snow falling lol...We may yet get a couple inches but nothing like what was forecasted...
