Fratty and out of touch.
This whole summer has been cooler than normal with the exception of this week...We normally have temps in the low 90s this time of year and this week hasn't disappointed...Today it's 92 degrees (33.3C) and the humidity is up at 63 percent...Next week the temps return to below normal highs dropped back to 75-80 degrees...

...

Yes, our summer has actually been quite tolerable while the rest of the country is struggling. I know we'll have to pay for it eventually, though. Next month we'll probably get slammed by a hurricane or something.

I don't usually post in this thread, but I came across an oldie I wanted to share.

Husband yells into the phone "How the hell would I know. I'm not a weatherman."
Wife asks him "What's that all about?"
He says "Some guy keeps calling and asking if the coast is clear."

Unprecedented fires.

Here in NJ, biggest heatwave was in the summer of 2011 I believe. It was death valley and ruined my summer. Today at 107 felt cool compared to that hellish summer.

Henri strengthens to a hurricane as it barrels towards New York and Connecticut: Monster weather system is packing winds of 75mph and is predicted to bring dangerous storm surge

Tropical Storm Henri is now a hurricane and the storm's winds will reach 75mph as it moves up the northeast at 14mph. It's still about 290miles south of Montauk on New York's Long Island. The National Weather Service said Henri could bring 'dangerous storm surges' when it's expected to make landfall on Sunday. Flooding is expected to begin late Saturday or early Sunday nine years after the Big Apple was battered by Hurricane Sandy.

It doesn't look like it'll do a lot of damage.

Cooler where it's normally warmer, warmer where it's normally cooler. It's upside-down weather. It's increasing and will continue. We can post back and forth about cooling and warming, what I'm seeing is a form of climate change that's highly not normal and I know at least partially caused by humans.

We are going through a geomagnetic pole shift with magnetic disturbances and anomalies in the world along with the sun going into a grand solar minimum...

I know at least partially caused by humans.
How do you know this?...

At 5:20 it was so dark out there you would have needed a flashlight. Holy freakin' bananas. Literally like flipping a switch and saying 'storm on' . No idea what the damage is outside but from what little I saw out there this morning with the dog I'll probably have the chainsaw out later.

New York and the rest of the Northeast is set to be hit with 'non-stop showers' and flooding with heavy rain due to sweep the region

Heavy rain, severe thunderstorms, dangerous winds and flooding are expected to slam the tristate area overnight Monday into Tuesday, including the five boroughs of New York City. New York and the rest of the Northeast are set to embrace 'non-stop showers' and flooding starting on Monday night, after a separate weather system dumped record rain on Northern California this weekend.

Flood watches will be in effect from Southern New Jersey to Eastern Massachusetts starting Monday evening as heavy rain is expected to fall in the region until Wednesday.

As much as 4 inches (10 centimeters) and 50 mph damaging winds could come across the tristate area until mid-week before a brief pause Thursday.

The missus ain't headed downtown tomorrow. Nope. Last time it rained like this Yonkers got all excited and took a dip in the Hudson River. Kind of like the cheese sliding right off the top of a hot piece of pizza. Bad for the pizza, bad for your lower lip.

Yup. No joke. I'm fully prepared by doing absolutely nothing because, well, I'm usually pretty prepared. All that's left is to collect animals in twos. Or threes, don't wanna get cancelled .........
