So much for the Northeaster. We got 6-8" of super wet heavy stuff. Looks blue inside as it's laden with water. I think I made the record of the entire season without even putting gas in the snow thrower. It'll just clog up on that stuff anyway, no point in bothering. This'll all be gone in a couple days.

Rounding the corner on about a foot of snow. Snow throwers are useless - it's just too damned slushy and wet. Round 2 of shoveling and probably another couple to go. Then it's supposed to be in the 50s in a day or two. Got some substantial limbs and maybe a few small trees down, going to be out there with the chainsaw in a few days. Fortunately we have enough property to just chuck the debris and forget it. If I had to collect it for disposal .... I probably wouldn't.

We've been having some weather swings, from warm Spring-like temps at night one week to below freezing temps the next...The winds have picked up considerably and daily but that's normal for this time of year...Not as much rain this month as last, a good thing, the ground is so saturated already...It's still possible we get one more day of snow or maybe ice, kind of rare going into April but it has happened more than once in the past 10 years...

I'm eager to get started on the garden and get the ground ready, but it's a little too soon yet for that...

We just got over four days of up to thirty mile an hour winds. It felt like someone was pounding on the siding. It was 72 degrees on Thursday. We are still going to get fluctuating temperatures for the next week

It's Spring ! I'm feeling equinoxxy.

Rolled the snow thrower down into the shed yesterday. I was half expecting to wake up and find a glacier in my driveway as a result. If the polar ice caps shift I guess that's on me ..................

The meteorologists screwed up in my area again...When I went to bed last night the forecast for today was 77 degrees and sunshine all day...Waking up to rain I take a look at the weather forecast and of course it's changed, 55 degrees and rain...Now it's stopped raining for the rest of the day and the temp is at 66 degrees with sunshine lol...

Yesterday afternoon the skies cleared and we had clear blue skies and 72 degree temps. Ran down to the train station wearing a t-shirt. Then someone must have opened the Well of Souls because WOW !! I thought the Hudson River was going to come up and snatch me away. Instantly turned cold with whopping rain and wind. Got soaked

It almost hit 90 yesterday. Felt great but we had the air conditioning cranked up. Big wall unit and I make the same stupid mistake each and every year I turn it on.

The upstairs of the house has two heating zones, there is a thermostat directly opposite the AC unit. So we were watching Star Trek last night and I hear tick tick tick from the baseboards that tells me the furnace is calling for heat. Crap ! The furnace and the air conditioner have been locked in an expensive contest all friggin' day ! Arrrgh !

That's even worse than having the AC on and leaving a window open and air conditioning the entire outside ................

We had mini split units installed some years ago. They worked like a dream. Before we had AC units hanging out the windows. It got to the point where I could no longer take them in and out due to my spine problems.

The only problem we have had is that the bedroom unit crapped out. We found out that this manufacturer is no longer in business. Thus no parts to be had. We had to purchase a different unit. Ughhh! Anyways, everything is working just fine now. Lots of cool air!
