That's subversive Krazy Talk. Cheese is wonderful and belongs on everything no matter what it is.

Some say the same about bacon, but bacon is horrible, won't have that in my kitchen...

Growing up our Slovak family made a pastry called poppy seed roll. The way the women made it was poppy seed and raisins rolled up in a thin bread crust. Since all my elders have passed away I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. The grocery stores make it without raisins, the heathens! My wife tracked the roll on a website. She bought one for me to try out. Nirvana! It was perfect. I can now purchase it and pass onto the great unknown a happy Slovak.

Bronx bread, tuna fish, pepper jack and a thin slice of crunchy red onion, classic 'tater salad on the side. Food of the Gods. mmmm.

What pray tell is Bronx bread? The name for the sandwich or something more specific?

Bread made in the Arthur Ave area. Coarse real bread. They used to have a location in GCT but I think it closed. We can get this stuff at the local supermarket now. Yummy.

Eating some barbecue at Tobo's diner in Cleveland, NC...We had this barbecue once at one of their food trucks at a rodeo and it was delicious...Tastes the same here at the diner, going to take a pound of chopped barbecue home with us...

I recently got attached to natural peanut butter - old school without all the added sugar and salt. Seems a bit bland at first but after a while if you try to have regular Jif or Skippy you go into a sugar coma. I lather the natural stuff up on some toast or a muffin in the morning and it keeps me going until lunch easily. I do the same with commercial brands and I am half asleep two hours later.

This is made locally, my wife gets it at the green grocer.

Homemade tacos, making my own sauce at the moment with ground beef, should be ready in 30 minutes...Have all the toppings on standby, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese...

The sauce turned out a bit hotter than I anticipated, I was also trying a different recipe than the last time I made this...However with some shredded cheese and shredded lettuce in a soft shell the flavours were well balanced...

Glad it worked out for ya'll. Whenever it happens to me I just use more sour cream or ranch dressing. :)

I just had ham and lettuce on sour dough rye and the crusty end was so thin and flaky that it cut into my lip like a razor blade. :(

This is an annual ritual when we set the tree up. That takes ten seconds because it's only 18" tall.

You want pancakes but want to be a little drunk too, hence egg nog.

Stewart's is a local chain and their dairy products are excellent. There is only One True Nog and this is it - all the rest are the first losers, they are fauxnog. That cheap rum just happened to be what got grabbed first, it doesn't really matter what kind although the dark is tasty. Two of those last night and my pancreas tried to flee my body. Slippery little bastard - back to work with it though, it's busy.
