What Does the Pentagon's New UFO Task Force Mean?

The mission of the UAPTF "is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security," DoD officials said in a brief statement released on Friday (Aug. 14).

But before you set up greeting signs and start tossing out welcome mats for the incoming aliens, a little perspective and context are in order. I asked some UFO specialists what they thought of the newly announced task force

I don't think level-headed UFO researchers or enthusiasts should be disturbed by the observations of the skeptics. By definition, UFOs and UAPs are things or phenomena the nature of which are unknown. Even though many (or possibly most) members of the UFO community think they know what they are, and that elements in the government do as well, they really don't know this. Thus scientific research into UFOs/UAPs should be welcomed. Undoubtedly, many or most of them will be determined to be of terrestrial origin. And if some of them are indeed from beyond this world, the investigation may be able to finally establish that on firm, objective grounds.

Thats the problem..Many are not level headed and use the argument from ignorance fallacy every chance they get....They shout aliens from another planet when they don't know what it is..I am a skeptic in terms of these things being from other worlds I don't believe any of them are....And it's going to take more than just some one seeing it to prove it other wise...
