Who were the first people in the Americas?

Sheltie

Fratty and out of touch.
The Solutrean people who inhabited what is today a region in France, Spain, and, Portugal may have arrived in North America thousands of years before the Siberian culture that is believed to have arrived by crossing the then-frozen Bering Strait from Asia.

They are distinguished from other indigenous cultures by the precision and refinement of their spear points. Known as Clovis points, the fluted projectiles are said to be sharper than steel blades.

Though the Solutrean Hypothesis has been around for a number of years, new discoveries such as the Cactus Hill Site in Virginia have fanned the flames of controversy.
