You hate it when:

I was brought up to be early for any appointments I might have. My sister-in-law is a perpetually late individual who thinks nothing of making others wait for her. It’s gotten so bad that family members lie to her about arrival times in order to get to to show up on time. Her lame excuse for being late is that she must have her makeup applied no matter where she might go in the real world.

Someone should tell her that she isn’t exactly a beauty that needs to be made up.
I worked with a woman who had the same problem. She just couldn't get it together so her family always told her to show up at 11 am when everyone else would show up at 1 pm. She figured out what they were doing and so it didn't work.

I invited her son to my daughter's birthday party. The party was from noon to 2 at a pizza place. She arrived with her son about 2:30. I felt bad for her son. He didn't get to play the games or hang out with the other kids.

I hate it when I have invested probably hundreds of hours into my old car and then having it come out absolutely great! What? Yup, just sitting there polished waiting for the next dry day.

.... and then yesterday I went down to find the huge puddle.

I rebuilt the front suspension and power steering system two years ago. Flawless, not a single problem or drop until an inner seal failed and it all wound up on the floor. At least it did it politely in my garage, not elsewhere. It did it just sitting there all alone - why exactly then and there is a mystery. Entropy has no schedule.

Theoretically my Made in USA replacement will be here Friday. Not too hard but definitely a messy p.i.t.a. I'd really rather just go get ice cream or a burger in it .....

Anybody can run a few minutes late but those that make a habit of it show a complete lack of respect for other people's time or concerns. I'm usually early or on time and if I'm not I can communicate clearly.

I'm currently doing a lite rebuild on my 1955 tractor. I'm bracing for any surprises that will pop up. Fortunately, we have a 2018 model to use while the old one is on the DL.

I finally got my 1961 Ford Unibody pickup in the driveway (sat i the mountains for 20 years). I don't know if it can be fixed up or not. I am related to two very good mechanics that can at least give me pointers (they are always busy).

Wow, not many of those left. Got any pics? What's funny is, I read somewhere that Ford is planning to start selling a small unibody pickup in the USA soon.

I don't have any pictures on this computer. I need to consolodate all my photos to one device. It is a truck my grandpa bought used in 1963. He had my dad take him to El Paso to get it, then they both drove back to northern New Mexico. It has been in the family ever since and I ended up with it in 1999. All of us drove it when we were in high school, including my daughters.

Our old washing machine finally gave up the ghost. We purchased a new one and it was to be delivered today. The delivery guys were late and then told us they loaded the wrong washing machine onto the truck. Back to the store and then finally three hours later they returned.

Round trip from my house is forty minutes. Needless to say I was not pleased. Whatever happened to competent employees? My wife and I wasted a whole day waiting for this delivery. Unfortunately, this is an appliance store we have been using for twenty years or more.

Just a note. If you are looking for large appliances be ready for a wait. The first washing machine we wanted was back ordered by a figure of ten from the factory. We took the floor model just in order not to wait and go to the laundromat for however long.

A few days ago I had lumber delivered from Lowe's;

3 - 4 x 4 x 16' pressure treated
5 - 4 x 6 x 12' pressure treated
8 - 4 x 8 x 16 concrete pads

It cost me 417 dollars delivered, I priced the same exact order in April and the cost was 289 dollars and change...I should have bought it in April...

whatcha building?

That new lumber is for foundation/floor reinforcement, putting that lumber under a building I use for my lawn equipment and storage...Currently its sitting on blocks but my weight distribution doesn't conform to the support pattern of the existing blocks and supporting lumber...So the floor has a slight crown to it, adding that extra lumber and blocking under the building will level things back off and I won't have to worry about weight distribution anymore...

I guess we should expect post Covid prices to keep rising. We drove past a large convenience store/gas station today. There was a sign saying they needed assistant managers that paid $20 per hour. Counter help was paying $16 per hour. The local Burger King is only offering $12 per hour. No wonder they can’t get help.

Yes, I need some pine or cedar posts (4 or 5 of them) and I priced them 2 years ago, should have bought them then, they were 2.49 a foot. Now I expect they are almost 10.00 a foot. And now is when I need them.

I've never seen the cost for wood products increase so rapidly and rise so high...

Wasn't there a video posted on this forum somewhere that explained why? Commodity Futures guessing a rise in prices of wood, along with closed mills and mills with fewer workers and the lack of access to Canadian imports. Like 3 storms crashing at once.

If a youtube video is embedded like we do on this forum then there are no ads (yet) but the ads directly on YouTube are thankfully (for now) very short and some can be skipped after a countdown of 5 seconds...Youtube wants people to pay about 12 dollars a month to be ad free but I'm not paying it, yet I do pay for youtube music, 10 dollars a month to be ad free on the music site and it also allows me to set up Playlists and download content...I use youtube music often enough to justify the payment, its no different than paying for Pandora or Napster services but youtube music has a bonus of accessing the music video too and not just the audio song...

I'll need to build a machinery shed here soon. I have a fair amount of mature trees on my place, wonder if a chainsaw mill would be a good idea?

For the longest time I had no idea what everyone on youtube was whinging about when they said there were too many commercials. I didn't see any adds whether they were clip commercials or those on screen banners.

I had an add on from chrome that blocked every ad on youtube. Then one day I clicked the wrong option when chrome asked me to update my browser. I lost it and it is no longer available. :girl_cray2:

I have this site that I go to because it's not very busy so, I just copy and paste the clip url there and there are no commercials. Although sometimes I still get that prompt saying that there is no format available to watch on my outdated browser so, those ones have to be watched on youtube.

I honestly think that youtube has dug it's own grave. People are really getting sick of it's rules and regulations and most of all commercials. They're algorithm does not seem to be able to predict that there are lots of other platforms available out there for people to go to.
