Yesterday, around 3pm, I planned to go to Costco and get some bulk groceries. Basically, the entire time that I tried to get ready and then drive myself there, everything that could go wrong, did. Including my driving. The traffic was really busy.
I became angry and thought, this is crazy. I was already in a lot of pain and I was exhausted. I was sitting at a red light when I had this epiphany. I noticed a KFC and decided to pick up something for dinner and start again tomorrow morning at 7am when there is a lot less traffic and most places are open for "seniors only" to shop.
So, now I am sitting at the red light outside of KFC waiting to turn left and go back home and I notice this pharmacy kitty corner to where I am. I thought, if the traffic permits, I will swing in there and grab some of those generic muscle and back pain pills. That way I can take one before I leave tomorrow and I should be alright til I get home again.
This man was all over me as soon as I walked through the door. I think he was the pharmacist. They didn't have what I was looking for. They only had the brand name which was $40 a bottle. It's only $8 for the generic, I refuse to pay that much for a name brand and I told him that. As I turned to leave, he asked me if I had prescription coverage and I told him I did. He offered to give me the prescription equivalent to the medicine I was seeking.
There was a walk in clinic attached to this pharmacy, so to make sure I understood what he was offering I said, I don't have a prescription and I am not willing to sit and wait to see a doctor to get one. He said I didn't need to do that because he will write a prescription for me right now and fill it. I said okay and while I was fishing out my cards, I gave him a laundry list of what I needed but had been too lazy to go see a doctor about and he gave it all to me. Then he handed me his card and said if I need anything I could just call him and he will have it delivered to me free of charge. My cannabis store offers the same service.
You could have knocked me over with a feather.
