But in all honesty, I don't think Sitchin was a loon. I think he was elaborating 99% of his "translations" to wow the public and make a profit. I interpret Sitchin as science-fiction writer, not a historian. The Lost Book of Enki reads like a good scifi, IMO. But that's all it is. A story. The sad part is most people don't realize it and take it seriously.

how About the titanic and Olympic were switched?

Well this got me interested in all that again. Parts of the idea are credible - apparently switching vessels for insurance claims wasn't unknown just not with gigantic state of the art vessels. Some odd porthole pictures that are difficult to account for without Photoshop. Cool story but let the dead rest.

No, I don't think they were switched but it makes for a good story in the midst of a story that's fascinating enough to begin with.
