They are saying latest evidence from the Niali site that it is a Hyena causing the problems. There are 3.67 Striped Hyenas to every 100 klms in India.

Since the article in the OP is questionable reporting I doubt its to precise.....and if he is actually right its most likely is the Chinese.

That is your opinion only...I don't think the article is questionable at all...Get your facts straight before you state alleged facts...

I can see nowhere in the articles I have seen any mention of Chinese skulduggery. Can anyone elucidate me on that please.

Yes it is my observation.....and since the only fact that is mentioned in the article is that sheep are being killed by an unknown predator in Eastern India and not being completely consumed by said predator.....not much else is confirmed. Except for the other observation that he has to do further research on the incidents and fill in the other details. I will give him credit for being amusing as well.

By the way I didn't state any facts in your quote.......it was an observation.

It is like this. Your kitty weighs 9 pounds. A tiger weighs 500 pounds. A tiger can eat 56 times more liver than your kitty.

Further, two types of incidents are conflated: what seem to be tiger kills and something a little more specific.

The liver is rich in iron and is used in Chinese medicine.

So about half the incidents are some combination of restaurant/anemic/Chinese kills.

If some Chinese are spotted in areas that have the more precise kills I would bet on the Chinese.

That being said liver overkill on big cats causes the same Vitamin A deficiency it does in small cats. Its a fact medically proven.
