Space debris or a small meteorite breaking the sound barrier sounds quite likely.

I used to ask my mom what that noise was all the time when I was a little kid.

Funny how these events have started happening since we have started fracking...

Was this going on in the area?...

If frackling was being done hundreds of miles away or a thousand miles away it would not cause this...

Its been happening in more areas than just this one. Some of these booms are being heard around fracking areas, and these booms only started since we have started fracking. Hard to ignore that coincidence.

Well...

This is an interesting claim.

A plot of fracking vs booms would indicate if there is game to the theory.

Any phenomenon that increases with time would correlate with the booms.

Don't forget the mysterious booms that have been hear for hundreds of years.

We weren't fracking hundreds of years ago from what I have been able to determine.

I expect small meteors or crust flexing (the crust constantly flexes) to be the major sources.

But there are other opinions:

What is interesting is natural quakes appear to have increased roughly 40% since 1975.
