I would add, Donald Keyhoe's books The Flying Saucers are Real and Flying Saucers from Outer Space. These books offer a rare glimpse into the time period in which the U.S. Government and military were openly investigating the phenomenon and engaging in surprisingly frequent cooperation with Ufology. Keyhoe's status as a former U.S. Marine Corps officer and respected journalist opened many doors for him.

I recommend the Condon report.
Keyhole has some good books as well. I believe he wrote 5 books about UFOs but he wrote books on other subjects as well.
