Wouldn't mind betting the Camo Dudes got him. They operate outside the restricted Area 51 limits.
Boozo's! These two are complete booz's and dangerous ones as well.
Ya know I'm really old, but the the experiences of life have taught me to never be without protection. Now the woods of the Northwest are not like the deserts and gravel pits of the majority of the rest of the United States. In the woods you want a powerful weapon because there's bear, moose, mountain lion and the potential for a nut job. A 223 caliber is marginal, but a 308 or 30-06 is heavy, so age plays a role in choices as much as firepower these days for me.
When I was young I was naive and foolish, these days I never go anywhere unarmed. I don't take much but I always take a firearm and pocket knife. I'm more likely to be caught in the middle of an armed robbery where I live so I always carry a handgun; you just never know what the lunatics are going to do in a hold up so I always carry a gun.
Out there in the wilds you're on your own. Back in the day I would have felt comfortable with a 22 rifle and a pocket knife. These days I'm not too sure about that concept. I carry an AR-15 because it's light, it's accurate, it's quick to bring to action, and I can carry a fair amount of ammo. Most importantly it will stop man or group of men lickety split.
The rule of fire power applies here. You never take a handgun up against a rifle. Only in complete desperation do you do that: Only as a last resort. Rifles are accurate and deadly. Handguns require training, skill and a greater degree of luck in a combat situation. Personally I'd go for broke before I'd allow myself to be disarmed, but it's a very risky move likely to fail if they have the drop on you.
Now, evidently contracted security nut jobs seems the most likely danger in the scrub lands of the wild deserts. Now I have no idea what these two Bozo's are doing, but unholstering on an ATV rider is an invitation to get shot. Now me, being who I am, well I'd probably have my rifle at the ready and the moment this guy reached for his gun I'd be on him with a shouted warning. I woudn't hesitate for a second to blast them. I have no idea who they are. These two could be anyone. They could be murders pretending to be some authority. The thing here to keep in mind is that the prisons are filled with people who will slit your throat for a nickle, let alone for your weapon and ATV. There's no marking on that pickup of any kind. There's nothing to tell you they aren't anything but a pair of jackals. I seriously doubt that in a court room you would be convicted by a jury for defending yourself from what appears to be a pair of armed thugs. So the question becomes; are you willing to risk your own life on the premise that these two are who they claim to be?
Even granting that they have some claim to authority, this may well be how Kenny ended his life, and by putting them on the defense or prohibiting their idiocy of pointing weapons at you, you may save both your and their lives by cutting them off first. See, it's obvious to me that these two have no experience dealing with people and are uncomfortable holding their positions. This is way out there with over kill reaction wise. Christ sakes that one guy is as big as moose, does he need to have the pistol unholstered and pointed downrange? I don't think this is remotely necessary. I don't think they a clue what to do or how to handle themselves.
These two are like so many others, just given the basics, handed a uniform and then told they are somebody, but underneath they are frightened and clueless how to handle a simple situation. It's as pathetic as it is scary. It's frightening to see this actually taking place all across America these days.
This is corporate america's idea of law enforcement. Take a good look. These are guys that will murder you, your kids, your wife, shoot your dog, rape your daughter and son. There's no old dog watching over them, nipping their butts, teaching them how to behave, how to deal with people. This image...this might be the desert with contract security, but it could be a street corner in America these days. Just sad really to law enforcement dool down to these characters.
Point here is that it's possible with these kinds of menacing imbeciles lose that the guy could have accidentally been murdered. It's all too easy to pull off a round when excited, and if that's the case then what do you think these two would have done? Well they would have buried the guy somewhere and never mentioned it again. Kenny is out there is my feeling.
