In the book " Beyond the bermuda triangle" by Bruce Gernon and Rob McGregor, he tells about teleportation as an event that happens to some people now and then.
He had an experience himself teleporting safly without any damage. In theory it is told teleportation could kill a person since it copies the original person. ( i know too little about those theories )
Anyone here who has accomplished to teleport and survive, and how was it?
*Sorry, this is long, In my mind, before I wrote this, It didn't seem that long, My bad.*
That depends on the kind of Teleportation that transpires. there is a litany of methods at least in theory. The common thought people have when envisioning teleportation is, The body enters one side of the teleportation device and is scanned, then reassembled on the other side at the molecular level, this includes a perfect copy of things like memory engrams
Engram (neuropsychology) - Wikipedia. This form of teleportation involves a level of technology so sophisticated that a perfect copy of the person can be achieved and the person who originally stepped into the teleportation system is simply "disposed of" So the person stepping out on the other end, Although a Copy, Would have all the memories of the person who stepped in from the other side. It's not so much legitimate teleportation as it is a highly technological copy past.
That's the Star Trek iteration of teleportation. This on a small level has been achieved, In 2017, Scientists in China managed to teleport a photon to a satellite in Space.
Beam me up? Scientists teleport first object ever from Earth into space
However, This was really the same ideology as I mentioned above, The waiting photon simply took on the Spin and properties of the original photon, "They copied the spin of a photon and applied it to another at a great distance. Ultimately, It was a feat of engineering, But it was a simple application of Quantum entanglements. However, There are other theoretical methods of transport that could be considered teleportation. for instance, If one can harness enough gravity to bend space-time, Which is a naturally occurring phenomenon, You can fold or bend space between two distances making a trip across great distances much shorter, in fact, you could in theory bend point a to point b and not even have to take a step, It would be like teleportation, Except instead of copying the body you would be folding literal space-time to shorten the distance.
What is a Wormhole?
Then there is the ideology of Dimensional space and Time, A being from a higher dimension, See, In Theoretical physics, the model I study says there are eleven dimensions, Dimensions are strange because of the way they work, See, A Relation between dimensions is present, So, Let's say a sixth dimensional life form would literally be able to walk through space and time and easily go to 1612 France as easily as we go to the kitchen to heat up some cold taco bell. Never let anyone convince you Such a thing is impossible, There are literally countless theories of teleportation methods. for each Physical model, For Relativity, For Quantum Physics, For M theory. It's mathematically possible on paper.
I ask though, It's an ethical question If you step into a teleporter, and are teleported to the other side of the globe to see your family, Is that Copy of you, is that really you? Or did you experience Death and then this Copy goes on living as you in your place? , How does Bruce or Rob know, Without a doubt, That they are the original article and not a copy with all the memories of their predecessor? Would they even know? And, coupled with the theory that the original dies or is disposed of, What happens if the original escaped or was not destroyed? Who then, Is the original?
