Is the entire world currently in Civil war?

We tend to have blinders on because we live in a prosperous country like the US. My nieces and nephews are doctors, lawyers and bankers. If you told them that things are rough out there in the rest of the world, they would have no clue as to what you were talking about. They are living the good life.

Head across the border to Mexico, those people are eager to cross over to the US illegally. They aren’t coming here because they want to live under Trump. Even the lowest paid jobs here are better than staying in your home country. It’s just a matter of perspective, in my view.

The observer effect.

It's why I don't have the pity others would like to see. Advanced nations have been complete stars in offering opportunity. To a degree that it creates a subclass among its own. Played down by many and lied about by others. The unskilled workers cost the nation as there isn't the market. Social security is a far better place than a lot of these folk come from.

Don't forget the pinch of salt.

By the way, the bastardisation of your first ammendment by the liberals is a travesty of justice.

Agreed.

My wife owned and ran a small business in NYC for many years and could probably pen a white paper on the revolving door of immigration, inadequacies and corruption law enforcement from various agencies (not indicting all of them), shakedowns etc. An unavoidable cost of doing business in that area. Many of the people she employed were just as you described, but definitely not all and she would be the first to say it's unwise to clutch them to your bosom without taking a damned close look first.

Would that be kind of like having a home and property and then the neighborhood goes to shyte over the years or like living out of a car and finally deciding enough is enough to risk traversing to a foreign country?...
