It's interesting how many alternate solutions are presented to overcome computer problems. A case in point is how to get Windows 11 to run a custom lock screen slideshow. A closed, official Microsoft "help" thread offered useless advice about things the user must not have done correctly. Another tech maven suggests investigating the code in an obscure "hidden" file. But happily, at least one techie explains how to solve the problem in a very simple manner. If this is an issue that interests you, check out the link below.

As Above So Below
I've tried Windows 11 on a newer laptop for a couple months now, it used to have Windows 10 however since using Windows 11 at work now I've come to like 11...That is until today...

I have twice now caught Windows 11 turning on my laptop without my permission and updating itself...Not only that it also noticed Firefox has not heen updated and proceeded to update Firefox without my permission...Then Windows 11 proceeded to change all my manual settings for its updates to automatic and replenished the Task Manager with all the Windows 11 updating tasks that I disabled or deleted...I also see Firefox settings have been changed from manual updating to automatic, changed without my knowledge nor permission...I only discovered this was happening today and checked the history logs to confirm my suspicions...

So I do not have full control of my computer when Windows 11 is used as an OS, that is bluntly obvious now...I will be removing Windows 11 from my laptop and replacing it Salix Linus OS, an operating system I know and one I will have full control over...Windows 7 is also an option since I can also have full control over it, but I already use Windows 7 on my older laptop, I wanted a different OS for my newer laptop...So now Linux it is...
