You post this bullshit just to get a rise out of me don't you?

What really concerns me is the watering down of the term "scientist".

Pretty soon "scientist" and "dumbass" are going to be synonymous.

No not exactly. It was on the news feed so I used it. Topical issue one way or the other.

How long have we been recording temperatures?...

A rhetorical question obviously, earth has a long history, we dont...

Land temperatures is sort of spotty until the satellite era. Changed thermometers a couple of times.

Ocean temperatures, again the measurement method changed a couple of times. Really don't have solid data until about 1993.

Error in global temperature is +/- .25K. If poltted to scale there is no noticable change. Subtracting 288K (on average) doesn't eliminate the error.

The "warmest ever" claim isn't statistically significant.

Worse yet even the IPCC admits 2-3°C of warming is beneficial.

The Paris target requires us to give up known benefits for no good reason.

That is why I get so upset with progressives that I want to beat some sense into them, and occasionally do.

We are still learning about the earth, we have little data to go on and we humans have only been on earth for a very short time in its long history, it's ignorant to think we are the sole cause of climate changes...

The "warmest ever" claim isn't statistically significant.

Nope it's very insignificant and an unimportant bit of statistics...

The Paris target requires us to give up known benefits for no good reason.

The Paris debacle is all about seizure and control, not about helping the planet...

you are both right and wrong: you are wrong that climate change is fake
and right that science is becoming an religion with people like bill nye as the priests

"Free energy" is stupid and isn t free. More on that later.

You can be the devil's advocate all you want. I don't work for him and can only learn his position from listening to his acolytes, such as yourself.

Well, yeah, its the evil oil barons funding opposing voices, etc. etc.

Great emotional arguments.

The earth is getting a little warmer. Simple fact.

Happens all the time, temperature changes constantly with the seasons around a slightly variable star.

The warmunists have waged a 40 year campaign to convince us that normal isn't normal.

And that "isn't normal" is bad.

The warmunists are losing the argument because they are all bark and no bite.

You can't prove that more that 1/4 of the warming is due to CO2.

You can't prove warming is bad.

You can't prove the warming will continue.

Some evidence would be nice. Not "models".

Everybody on the warmunist side seems to have an irrational fear of fossil fuel. This mostly is due to warmunists being irrational than any problem with fossil fuel.

I love the smell of a coal burning house in the morning.

Burn baby burn.

I agree that it is.....most places have just been recording since the late 1800s. Though it is slightly longer in some places.

The current weather pattern has finally surpassed the level of the medieval warm period.....which was the warmest period since the Roman warm period. Its still part of the current short term warming trend the planet is going through.

Not even remotely so, hurricanes and earthquakes are natural and not caused by man or mankind's activities, we may die of our own doing but the earth will live on...

We are not causing climate change, it's a natural occurrence...I've never doubted climate change but seriously doubt mankind's activities are causing it, there is little evidence to support that...The Paris debacle will shackle the world, it's an abomination...

Climate change is simply planetary action . The rest just fills the pockets of climatologists and Al Gores bank accounts.

Not earthquakes because it's a completely different animal to climatology. But hurricanes getting stronger, Nor'easters getting stronger etc. is directly attributed to a warming climate. Warming climate means warmer ocean, warmer ocean means stronger storms. Look at 2017 and early 2018 alone. We had 2 category 5 devastating hurricanes, the category 4 that hit Houston, and the rarest of rare triple phased white hurricane, these are all because of a warmer ocean and climate.

Yet 2016 was a quiet year for hurricanes...
