Theoretically, if Jupiter moved closer to Earth, and Earth then started to orbit Jupiter like a moon, would we be a planet orbiting a planet, or would we become a moon?
Why, because we'd all be likely to dead and then it wouldn't matter to us if Earth remained as a plant or became a moon? This would likely be a very bad thing

That's it....we'd all be dead. Jupiter is pulling its moons apart with its gravity......it would wake up every volcano we ever had on earth.
Jupiter would need to be further from the sun than its present location in order to host the eartth at a safe distance and thereby ensuring the gravity of the sun doesnt take us back lol...
Passing between the two places would have likely ripped the earth apart.
If it didn't get ripped apart then we would be plunged into darkness and cold for years to come when our orbit reach out to the far end away from the sun...The oceans would freeze over...
