I didn't know about it. Thanks.
But I think it won't be released for a few more days.
The storyline and setting sound awesome!

I thought it might have been available already, on my firebox it showed a date of March 10th for the movie release...

@wwkirk

There also a new 'Justice League' type movie, called Legion of Superheroes with Batman and Superman...

A lot of negative user reviews with an understandable complaint. It's set in the future at a "Superhero Academy" so in that respect it fits in with some TV series and episodes. But apparently the history, personality, and appearance of many characters have been altered.

I'll probably watch it eventually, but it isn't nearly as appealing as the new Batman in a Lovecraftian setting promises to be.

I have it now. Will probably begin watching later today.
I have not watched it yet so let me know what you think I'd be curious...

I'm 2/3 of the way through it. It's quite entertaining. To me, Batman fans who don't like it are being overly perfectionist. Versions of Oliver Queen, Kurt Langstrom, Oswald Cobblepot, Harvey Dent, Poison Ivy and the demon Etrigan all have minor roles. Some people are irritated that that they are not developed. But to me, I just like seeing them in a film that's less than 90 minutes long.

An underlying theme is that Bruce Wayne/Batman has to overcome his dependence on what is "rational". I like that.

This is one of those times I side with the pros rather than the "masses". - Rotten Tomatoes: 83% pros, 54% general audience

Done. One of my favorite ever Batman films! Full on supernatural in the final 20-25 minutes. A thrilling interpretation of what Batman could be,

(I'm afraid that a lot of comic book readers will never be able to fully appreciate the film adaptations.)

I Watched Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham And, Wow, That’s How You Make A Superhero Horror Movie!

David Giuntoli in Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham

SPOILER WARNING: The following article gives away almost the entire story of Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, so if you have not seen the new animated DC movie, proceed with caution before you go batty over the plot details.

I will admit that I have a bit of a personal bias, but I really do believe that, out of all the most iconic superheroes from DC Comics (or superheroes in general, I might say), Batman is the most dynamic and versatile. Being an ordinary man of extraordinary skill, the costumed crimefighter can be thrown into just about any situation a writer might think of and it could make sense — whether it would be a straightforward crime thriller or some Lovecraftian fantasy tale, which is exactly what Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and co-writer Richard Pace did with their Elseworlds story, The Doom That Came to Gotham.

The three-issue miniseries, published from 2000 to 2001, would inspired the latest Batman movie (co-directed by Christopher Berkely and Sam Liu) and it's one that I think proves my point about Batman’s versatility very effectively. In fact, I don’t mind that it cost me $19.99 to purchase on digital — it is also available now on Blu-ray — because it was worth every penny, immediately earning a spot among my favorite animated Batman movies yet for various reasons. The following is an exploration of why I think Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham is one of the best new superhero movies (and best new horror movies, too) that you should check out.

New Superman announced! Look Both Ways star David Corenswet will replace booted Henry Cavill as Clark Kent in Superman: Legacy - while Rachel Brosnahan is set to portray Lois Lane

Look Both Ways actor David Corenswet will replace booted Henry Cavill in the new Superman film, Superman: Legacy.

The actor, 29, who has never taken on a leading role in a major studio production before, will portray Clark Kent in the rebooted film series alongside Rachel Brosnahan, 32, as Lois Lane, replacing Amy Adams, reports Deadline.

Corenswet played Jake alongside Lili Reinhart in 2022 Netflix film Look Both Ways and has previously also starred in Hollywood, The Politician, and A24 film, Pearl.

Superman: Legacy will be released on July 11, 2025 and is described as about Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing.

Corenswet and Marvellous Mrs Maisel star Brosnahan were along a select few testing for DC co-chairs Peter Safran and director James Gunn in full costume and make-up.

The tests took place over two days with three actors in 'full Superman attire' - following a months-long search for the new stars.
