Carl Sagan wrote a book called The Pale Blue Dot, although a bit dated now it is still a fantastic read.
I have it on audio book as MP3s and the first chapters are a real treat because it is Carl Sagan reading it.
I spend a lot of time driving for work doing tech support so have listened to it about 3 times through.
If you want a copy pm me and I will email it too you. I warn you though it goes for nearly 13 hours.
As I said a lot of the stuff he talks about is a little dated now, and a lot you will already know. But it is an awesome listen. Its a bit like the Lord of the Rings of Science. You have to read it (or listen to it) at least once in your life.
Why I bring it up at all is because he dedicates a whole section to planetary atmospheres and why the sky is blue here but pink on Mars. Let me know if you want a copy.
