Honestly that is a very ignorant statement, stop seeing colour...You lose too much in life if you were colour-blind...The world has beautiful colour and tones, even in people...
I kind of agree. that TO be blind to someone's color is like saying. That person's color isn't an issue. But. If that person's color really wasn't an issue. It would have never been brought up. Yeah. I agree with that.

Those guys were big roamers that settled once having learned the ways of the world, the best. Living on the equator and with a lighter hue tells me their ancestors new of the far North and South lands. It's black and white and all in between has to be a combo.

Sorry haven't been quoting so that one was for the Egyptians. I don't know one actually but do know they are learned people.

Fading day by day.
I will probably get flamed for this, all I can say in my defense is that i am not racist, one of my best mates as a kid was a full blood aboriginal. My sister in law is half blood. I have Asian mates, Sth African mates. etc etc.
But
This whole racism shit is just crap. People are bloody different. And sometimes generalizations are correct.
In my opinion half the problem with people who banter around the term racism, is because they are trying to deny the element of truth in what is being said. Cultural differences are a huge contributing factor in what makes us all different. But political correctness has gone mad, people have such thin skins they cant tolerate anything any more.
It is no longer OK to have an opinion about certain topics or you are racist, or homophobic.
I agree racism at the extreme end of things is horrible. But there is a hell of a lot in the middle that you cant say for fear of being labeled, yet there is an element of truth to it.

Keep in mind what I said in the first two lines here.
However...
I can take you places in Australia where the aboriginal community live like animals.
They are given housing, they destroy the houses, routinely.
I work in an area of emergency services. I can tell you for an absolute fact that there are aboriginal communities where the emergency services cannot enter safely without a small entourage of Police.
There are many opportunities out there that are squandered.
Look I am being deliberately vague because of my job, but I know for a fact stories that would make your mind boggle of what some of these people do. I just can't say here. But, I can tell you a lot of it is culturally acceptable.
Some of the worst places I have seen make our worst commission areas look like Toorak.
These are FACTS, not seen by the blooding hearts in the cities who never go further than their books.
The same people who cal racist!!! at the drop of a hat.

Most Aussies are pretty easy going. I suspect there is a fair swag of us that would identify as Christians.
But trust me when I say our streets don't drain of people on Sundays because we are all at church. :)
Anyone who has been to a Muslim country knows how devout they are. Who hasn't heard the speakers light up in the cities at certain times of the day and almost everything stops while folks prey.
The truth is though, that all though most (and I mean most) Muslims are peaceful people with the same wish for peace as any of us. As politically unpalatable as it is to say it, while most Muslims are not terrorists, most terrorists seem to be Muslim extremists.
So how do we describe this? Unless you have a convicted terrorist on a chair in front of you, you use the words Muslim and terrorist in the same sentence and someone will call racist.

Cultural differences can rub people up the wrong way, you point it out, you are a racist. WHY?
Aussies are often labeled yobbo piss heads...uh duh, thats because lots of us are. Its the truth.
I don't think its racist to say so.
But while I have not traveled near as many places as some, I have done a reasonable share of wandering.
And, I have never met a French male that I didn't want to punch in the mouth. Every one I have ever encountered have been the rudest bastards I have ever met. I am sure it is just a cultural difference, but I find the ones I have met as arrogant and full of themselves...Oh oh, Racist.

I work with several Asians, terrific blokes, good mates, but hell they can be abrasive. They have no filter when it comes to conversation. It is just a cultural difference, as it seems common from what I have seen. They piss off a lot of Aussies until you get used to there ways. oh oh, Racist again!!

I think we all need to grow a set of balls and stop being so bloody precious.
It is getting so you can't speak any more.

No worries brother I'm just drinking whiskey and debating, no matter what the answer would have been I'd have found a way to bring it around in a circle. I'm drunk, but it's a good happy drunk. I encourage anyone to have any opinion they wish free of ridicule. someone who truly intellectually debates people never falls to the side of attacking someone's opinion. That's not even debating when people do that. Rather I encourage everyone to have their own views on things. I think we have all earned that :)

Color as an excuse to ignore inner beauty is where failing is, not color seeing itself.

If today you were found as a John Doe, the first thing they do in terms of identity is look at you hair. You will tick one of the following criteria regardless, which I find bizzare with all the mixes on present day Earth and I guess it comes down to strength in concentration as the over ruling factor but yes today all of us fit in one of three brackets of hair type, which excuse me if I'm wrong means three different breeds.

Negroid

Caucasoid

Mongoloid

Why this identifying structure to the hair does not blend is because of identity. Blood is thicker than water but thinner than the hair. Three different wise monkeys.

Speak no evil.....Definatley speak no Evil and say that again i dare you.

I don't know, Both points of view possess a positive merit. I think it's just a point of view issue.

Okay, dont ignore color, explore it with wide eyed child like curiosity, instead of seeing it as an excuse to separate yourself. (That was my original point, anyway.)

Still, I do not understand the need to identify by color, at all, especially if we really are EQUAL.

If we areNOT EQUAL, then were are at ODDS.

It is up to ALL of us to make it balance. How do we do that and still differentiate ourselves?

Why is it important to say what color you are, unless you believe it has a merit?
And what is merit, if not a lable of a level above or below something else?

The need to recognize color is that. different groups of people don't see their distinction as a problem, TO say to someone, (I don't see your color as a problem,) Is saying to that person. (Hey some people see your color as a problem, But not me)

So to be color blind, is in some ways to show disrespect to their heritage and culture and ethnicity. I know it's tricky. These issues are. But that's the legitimate reason. People should not be color blind. It's the very definition of a microaggression broham.

Understand. I get your point, but do you see that by continuing to differentiate, by color, creed, heritage, you are saying, "I stand apart."

We all stand apart, Our differences are what makes us great. The idea that everyone should all fall into one group or one mindset is flawed, People should strive for uniqueness and not just respect our differences. Aspire to them.

If any one stands apart, then we are holding on to something that makes us different.

If we want to hang on to our differences, because it is where we came from, that sounds nice,

But if we continue to think, My heritage is better than yours, we remain at odds.

And that is where the problem is. I am better, because I belong to group 1, or you are not good enough because you belong to group 2. And there are more of 1 than 2, so it doesnt matter what 2 thinks... we win!

Whoo hoo! but dont worry... we will be nice.., cuz we have good hearts... but yall sit on the back of the buss okay, cuz group 1 needs you to stay out of our way..,

Truth must be we all suffer the same condition but the tongue of the instigator is for ever tied by time. It was natural for slavery to be part of natural progression as my view on human behaviour is of the animal in denial of its own state. If chimps had the know how they would have the others doing things for them over night.

You can't speak your mind any more because the witch hunt is listening. One big wise monkey is what they want us to be. Think no evil. Right turn Clyde.

I can agree to the point that no one should ever believe themselves superior to others. People take these topographies and analytics and charts and specs and they see IQ and ethnicity and regions. But they don't see the True Race war humanity has had on itself since the beginning of time. The lite skin people dark skin people war has been raging since the beginning of time. it will never stop. The only brief reprieve we get from the war that is intolerance of indifference is when we realize things like.

Some of the greatest people to have ever lived were not White caucasian people.

We are both the nicest and meanest of all animals having a collective internal struggle with mind over action because we know what we are truly capable of in a run away train situation. Containment of the collective mind is wearing thin because the scope in knowledge that is easily obtained today through the click of a button.

If I spoke my mind I would feel uneasy in my own home as I know many the same would. I have no doubt that many here too have not been honest with themselves because the world is watching and that is a powerful deterrent. I'm no racist but what I do know is the same as any and am of mind that sweeping it under the carpet gives it life. I know, what else can you do but don't mention it and it might go away.

I wish people here would try not to identify with the individual slant of this topic as it has little depth when talking on collective types.
