As Above So Below
I haven't heard this before until recently, kind of silly but true lol...
President Jimmy Carter was "attacked" by a "killer" rabbit on a canoe trip in Plains, Ga.
In a 2010 interview with Howard Kurtz, who was with CNN at the time, Jimmy Carter discussed how the story took on a hyperbolic life of its own afterwards. Jody Powell, Carter's White House press secretary, fabricated some of the details upon its retelling — saying that a "killer swamp rabbit" attacked Carter while he was canoeing and needed to be struck away by the paddle. He mentioned these details in a 1985 memoir called "The Other Side of the Story."
Carter explained, however, that the rabbit was just making its way toward the boat, as any animal would while swimming in a creek. Carter gently splashed water at the rabbit to "shoe" it away. But Powell supposedly witnessed the encounter and overstated the details while discussing it over drinks with friends.
