Biden only won because his name is not Trump. The latter should have easily cruised to re-election like the previous three presidents did, but he screwed it up so badly that the most unexciting Democratic candidate of my lifetime won.

Joe Biden has been labelled "corrupt to the core" after a leaked voicemail from 2018 revealed he called his son to tell him he was "clear" in relation to a New York Times article that mentioned Hunter's name in connection to a Chinese oil tycoon.

Now they can't even put fuel in the planes! More Heathrow chaos as 'fuelling system failure' halts departures for an hour... amid fears of 'airmageddon' over school holidays with more looming strikes

Thousands of travellers heading through Heathrow were left to endure the latest scenes of chaos hitting Britain's beleaguered airports after flights were delayed due to a fuelling issue. A 'technical fault' with the airport's Jet A-1 fuel system meant dozens of planes were unable to leave the tarmac for over an hour at the UK's busiest travel hub on Saturday. The malfunction meant thousands of holidaymakers were left in the lurch at departure gates or on board their flights, and is the latest in a long line of mishaps to hit Britain's airports this year. Dozens of frustrated passengers took to Twitter to vent their disappointment with the latest cruel blow to their holiday plans, while others fumed that they would miss transfers and connecting flights owing to the error.

Trudeau showed up at July f1rst celebration, which is our independence Day. After weeks of commercials threatening that if anyone caused problems there would be RCMP and city police everywhere to throw them in jail. It was all over the internet and all over TV. Less than a thousand people showed up. Want to know why? The rest of the people were protesting a few blocks down. :laugh8:

He tried to make it a indigenous celebration day as well. They sat there like lumps without a single smile or even a fake grin on their faces. When he gave a speech, and asked people to cheer, hardly anyone did. :laugh8:

Governors point to Biden admin's 'refusal' to enforce law as Supreme Court sounds alarm about protests

Governors of Virginia and Maryland have responded to a letter from the Supreme Court's top-ranking security official calling on them to utilize police and law enforcement to prevent picketing at the homes of justices.

"The governor agrees with the Marshal that the threatening activity outside the Justices' homes has increased," Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin spokesperson Christian Martinez said in response to a letter from Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley calling on the governor to "enforce state law" that prohibits picketing outside the homes of the justices.

"He welcomes the Marshal of the Supreme Court's request for Fairfax County to enforce state law as they are the primary enforcement authority for the state statute," the statement added.

Youngkin also called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to "do his job" by "enforcing the much more robust federal law."

Ya don't say. Huh, now the same thing is happening in the USA? This is becoming a *round the free world phenomenon*.

They just started a thread on the Forteana site because politicians are being harassed to the same degree in the UK and I was telling them that it already happened here in Canada and the offended politicians have been armed with pepper spray.

Trudeau went so far as to declare Emergence Law so that he could use the loop hole he found that now allows him to freeze bank accounts if anyone tries to support a protest. He also made it a law so that if the press prints anything other than what the countries political leader says is aloud, that their press pass can be revoked and they will not be issued a licence the following year. All this without having to go through a court of law to enforce. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l9dPEBuEZ9I

So, lets see, anyone else see a pattern developing? All these scenarios set up to look like changes have to be made immediately for the good of mankind. Scenarios that are happening all over the world at the same time. Set up to look like if we fight any of these changes, we look like the bad guys and need to face penalties for our selfish choices, which threaten the lives of others.

We are all being manipulated. What it really means is we loose the,

right to our own bodies and what gets put into them (abortions, vaccines),
right to bear arms,
right to protest against politicians,
right to protest, period,
right to free speech,
right to help financially support a cause we may agree with. In other words, if that cause doesn't back your political power you are a terrorist.

New World Order, anyone?

that kind of control over a woman's body

We're tripping over our pronouns and there are tampons in the men's room and we are all ultra sensitive about goddamned everything, but you get knocked up and your personal expression and choices go right down the pooper.

How Joe Biden torched his credibility

The president’s handling of events has been poor and the same with his policies. But nothing has been quite as bad as his snakebit, maladroit, poorly informed, dishonest attempts to spin away the miserable results of his governance, especially on the economy.

If he says the border is not a crisis, there must be people crossing the Rio Grande en masse and getting admitted into the United States and bused to locales around the country in shocking numbers.

If he says the Afghanistan withdrawal was an “extraordinary success,” it must have been a shambolic embarrassment that left Americans behind, despite Biden’s assurance that that would never happen.

If he says the pandemic is effectively over, as he did last July, it must mean a new wave of the virus is about to send case counts soaring.

Even if none of these things had happened and Biden never said a word about them, he would have torched his credibility on the economy alone. He’s produced a steady, ongoing farrago of false assurances and blame-shifting that has amounted to a master class in not convincing anyone of anything, except to tune out whatever he says.

According to Biden, things supposedly are never as bad as they seem, and by the way, even if they are, they are definitely not his fault.

The mantra from the president and his team now is that a recession is not inevitable, which, on its own terms, is not the most reassuring message. Something may not be inevitable and still be possible or even much more likely than not.

Biden is serving up large helpings of what he famously called “malarkey” in his 2012 vice-presidential debate.

He likes to maintain now that he cut the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars when, in reality, the deficit had already been forecast to come down after the surge of pandemic spending and his COVID relief bill added substantially more deficit spending than there would have been otherwise.

He’s called the idea that his COVID bill fueled inflation “bizarre” (while conceding that you could perhaps argue that it had a “marginal, minor” impact). Yet, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers famously predicted that the massive bill could stoke inflation, and Biden himself name-checks Summers as an economy authority.

Walking on a Delaware Beach while on vacation, Biden upbraided a reporter for saying, truthfully, that economists are predicting that a recession is more likely than ever. The president joked that she sounded like a Republican, before lapsing into his rote line that a downturn isn’t inevitable.

Biden has said Americans can “handle the truth.” Yes, they can, and the truth is that poor Biden policy choices have worsened economic conditions, as shortages disrupt the workings of the economy and inflation eats away at paychecks. Americans can acknowledge all this — indeed, feel it every day — while not liking it or being willing to tolerate it.

All indications are that Biden himself is the one who can’t handle the truth.

He had credibility at some point before ? Really ?

Biden just happened to pull an inch or so less on the vacuum gauge of credibility than Trump did in 2020, which just barely nudged him over the top. Of course, now Biden's credibility could pull a golf ball through a water hose. He doesn't even have a small but intensely loyal corps of followers like every other president in my lifetime has had, which is quite telling.

Sadly, in 2024 the only criteria people will likely be voting for is someone whose name is not Biden, which opens the door to all kinds of awful possibilities.

By the time 2024 rolls around, I doubt it will matter.
