Nah, I hardly think so, he wasn't much into conspiracy theories and aliens and stuff like that.........
At the time when he said that on Twitter in 2010, it was when he changed the way Alien Hub forum looked, gave it it a total makeover... He was telling people on Twitter to go and visit Alien Hub to see the 'new' forum look...
It was just his way of saying the old Alien Hub as we know it is gone and a new Alien Hub begins, thus, 'It's the End of the World as we Know It!'
No different I would think, like dr wu says, that when he said 'Queen is dead' just before he took Alien Hub down he more than likely was meaning the Queen is Alien Hub itself thus is really saying, Alien Hub is dead...
You should be able to downlaod straight from your computer HD to here in the Upload a File part in the reply... Then once you download the image in your reply you will see an option just under the reply window itself where the image can be either seen as a thumbview or in full view... I usually click the full view....Had to download from my HD to FB and then here. I'm sure there must be an easier way I don't know about.
Trust me, AH was reviving. I personally poured my heart and soul into that very manifestation. And the analytics prove it was more successful than it had been in over a year. He pulled the plug because it simply wasn't enough. The man has kids and a wife. He took a job as a flight instructor. I even know the organization he works for, But that is neither here nor there.Personally, I think Q just got tired of AU. It wasn't as successful as it had been in the past. I think he wasn't enjoying it anymore. He'd had some recent conflicts with people on the boards and had become, I think, disillusioned with his role as admin. I think he just decided to throw in the towel on it.
I think it's a shame because we had years and years of posts and stories that are gone forever ...
But sometimes you gotta clean house ... or move. AU burned to the ground, and tbh, I don't miss it so much anymore. I quite like not being a mod, and quite like not having to feel like I have an obligation to check in. Now I just check in because I feel like it.
Looks like one of those ads you seen in glossy magazines for Prescription glasses...
.
I think most people can understand the fact that he didn't have time for AU anymore. It was basically a hobby. He wasn't making money off of it or anything. But why didn't he offer to sell the domain to someone? I've heard that several people from the forum were interested in buying it.
He pulled the plug because it simply wasn't enough. The man has kids and a wife.
Actually, he did. It simply did not sell. So? There's plenty of website owners that have active personal lives. Having a wife and kids doesn't excuse it. Q could've sold the website, but he didn't. He didn't care about the community if he so easily dumped the site.
Actually, he did. It simply did not sell.
I think people should keep in mind. This is Q we are talking about, Every single post has been saved. and backed up. It may not be called alienhub. Someday those forums will manifest again online. It's a fact.
