open house today. class selection starts next month. meeting the staff. we have an extended sit down with the girls basketball coach. making sure Kate is not hyped. or given favors. Kate was good in JV we want her to earn her spot.

update:, the girls basketball coach signed Kate up for a 2 week camp in August. this will help her make the transition to A higher level of play and to see if she has the dedication required.
my other daughter is in some advanced technology and sciences classes this coming semester. I'm hoping bolth can handle this. it's a lot for 2 gals turning 16.

I prefer Mr Submarine over Subway. There aren't very many Mr Submarine shops left over here. The nearest one is a half hour drive away so, I hardly ever get to go there. I think I would probably get lost trying to find it because it's been so long.
Subway shops are on every other block over here.

I quit eating out about 10 years ago,
kind of miss it,
don't miss things like flame retardants in the food
if things were set up so you had any idea what you were eating I might to eat out again
but the way it is now, the FDA allows things like "temporary ingredients"
so anyone with any food allergies at all are excluded from the official food supply.

There's some fast food places I refuse to eat at, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's for instance, garbage food in my opine...When I drive by the McDonald's in town it's always packed and long lines of cars in the drive thru, people flock to that place likes it's the only restaurant around...

I ate a sausage and egg biscuit from McDonald's a few months ago that a co-worker bought for me, that was all the energy I needed for the whole day lol, my heart was racing...I meant by garbage food is the high calories of not so good fats and salts and additives, it does give someone a lot of energy when eaten but not so healthy me thinks...

You've never seen it? Yes, if you like The Twilight Zone you will really enjoy it. There was the original version in the mid 1960's (before my time) and there was an updated version, shot in Canada, in the 1990's. Unfortunately, The Outer Limits is not offered on Netflix but some of the channels that show old TV shows like Comet and the Sci Fi channel often show it.

with a slamming of a door my 2nd daughter got back home from the play she went to with her BFF. she arrived hours early she went to the fireworks with us. angry and distant.
my wife tried to talk to her. but was rebuffed. her sister tried to.
The younger kids tried to cheer her up but all it accomplished was irritation and anger.
Today it's my turn. off to the park. a lunch and father daughter time.
