The soil on mars is peroxide and can't harbor life.

Now if we land thousands of comets and create an ocean we might be able to change that.

But no one has put forth a good reason for an alien civilization to put bases on what is a dead virtually airless oversized moon.

What is the 'life' on Mars is not endemic to the planet ie; its off world visitation. To find a planted Hibernaculum there would not be that far fetched and would certainly not have anything to do with pareidolia. We set up observation posts under the oceans and that's a pretty hostile environment.

Actually its what I see too......along with the sand dunes and the big boulder.
